I keep telling them to take me off their call list, which I believe they are legally required to do if you request it.  Instead... they hang up and call back in a few hours.  I get four or five calls from them a week.  VERY frustrating.

Stay away from these people!! They instantly starting charging to our credit cards without authorization.They use all the numbers mentioned above and the names too. We talked with Chris Sain. Absolute scam!!! Our credit card company even told us they were a scam and that they have been dealing with this alot. They will try to get as much info as they can even your SS#. Stay Away!!!!!!

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is what happens when I am under pressure, I make asinine decisions. Chris Sane called me today and I fell for the bull crap! They charged $500 to one card and $298 to another card. When I ended the phone call, I had some questions and tried calling the number back. Of course a recording came on stating to call back between 8am-5pm. None of the phone numbers added up, so I called my credit card companies to file a fraud report. The police just left my house and I feel like an old person that has been duped *smacking my forehead*

They got me too, but for $798, I called my credit card company immediately and I called the police. I told my cedit card company it was a fraud and after reading the information here, I know that I have been HAD! They are using the same names and numbers, why have they not been stopped! I hope something can be done, this is ridiculous! My credit card company said that no one except myself would be able to negoiate a lower APR rate

I got a call and before the "manager" called back I looked up "purchase power solutions" and found this site. I let the person know who called me back that they are a scam. He said that they had a B rating from the BBB and no complaints. I told him to go online and look at all the complaints about his company. He said that they had no complaints. I told him that he should find out what people are saying so that if it is a lie he should fix it. Of course this is a huge scam. Shame on these people who have no conscience who want to make money by scheming innocent, hard working people. Good thing that  a site like this exists to expose those criminals. Do not give out any information, especially credit card numbers, to anyone!!! Be very firm in your "no" because they are very persistent, remember they get your credit card number to charge a large amount for pure profit for themselves. Credit card companies do not use or need these fake companies to do business on behalf of them.

Purchase Power Solutions is now using a 201 area code telephone number. It is the proverbial "too good to be true". I hung up on them and they tried to call me right back. Hopefully they stop calling.

I just got my 6 or 7th call from PPS, Chris Sain caller ID 201-324-0625. I was on a boring conference call on the business line so I listened to him a bit.  They did have a lot of information from one the credit bureau's. After telling how great the service was he asked me if I had turned down ther service before becasue of the $900+ fee and I said that was probably the reason. He said, no problems my crediot is so bad, and it is, that they will waive the fee. All I need to do is fill out some paperwork and fax my signature back to them and they will work with my creditors.  I told him to send the package but I won't make a decision till I review the package. I plan to send the package to Clark Howard (CNN) once it arraives and let him review it. One other note......when you call the 888-512-8881 it routes the call to a customer service line that never ID's themselves as PPS. They take a message for Chris they never transfer you nor is he ever available. Thye take a number for him to call you.

Do not have caller ID but this is the number given when I go to their web site (purchasepowersolutionsinc.com).  If they call again I will tell them to take me off their list.

They also called me at number 202-486-3496 and told me his name was Kyle Davis.  This is a big scam.  One should never give an unverified party their credit card over the phone and having a website does not make you credible.  He should have known way more about my credit information as well.  Stay away from these people.

James Hahn was the one that called. Gave 888-512-8881 company number but caller ID identified the District of Colmbia with a # 202-561-4918. Silly me, gave him credit card # but not the authorization number and hung up. He actually called back, told him not to charge anything, not interested in the service, if I changed my mind after checking out the company, I would call him back! And I hung up while he was still talking!

Well, I may have done a boo-boo.I just agreed to the services , recieved the package, with 2 CD's, filled out the paperwork and sent it in. I hadn't looked up this page before, so I wasn't aware of any problems. I will keep this page posted as to what happens next.

Got a call from Kyle Davis.  This time from 209-744-1746.  Same spiel.
I did some research on Purchase Power Solutions while he was on the phone.
Told him I would have to think about it.  And that I would call him next week.   ...which I will not do.
I need to go to Google Voice so I can block certain numbers.

I received a call from someone whose name I don't remember asking if I had debt on credit cards with interest rates over 10%.  After I said yes, he told me I would be getting a call from an account manager with a way to greatly reduce the interest rates on this.  The number he called from was 229-247-5017 which is a number in GA.  I received several calls from this number over a couple of days, but most of the time there was "dead air" when I answered.  The next day I got a call from the "account manager" - Josh Robinson - looks like that guy gets around.  This call came from 209-744-1746 - also a GA number. He had my address & phone number along with the correct spelling of my name - from the address he gave me, it looks like he got it from a mailing list. Josh gave me the same line about getting me 5% interest on all my cards and there would be no charge.  He said they used to charge $998 for this, but now the credit card companies would pick up the fee and it would cost me nothing.  Looks like their pitch has changed...  BUT.  He wanted me to give him one card number and expiration date so that he could VERIFY that MasterCard or VISA would work with them for me.  The NEW twist to get the card number.  He said that once he'd done the verification, I would get an information pack via FEDEX the next day.  I refused and said I wanted to get the information package first before I gave him a card.  He said he could not do that and besides, don't I give my card # to buy things on the internet all the time AND the card companies will not have me pay for anything fraudulent anyway? I told him I provide a card number when I contact those companies to buy something...  not when they contact me ..  and I know them - I don't know you.  Josh said ..  "well I don't know you either".  I told him there was no way he was getting a card number first. I told him that's it and hung up. And as I did Josh said "I'll just let the card company's know you're not accepting the deal"....  what Bull.  So I started checking around the Internet and here I am...  looks like these guys have been really busy and are changing the pitch as they go trying to overcome some of the push back they're getting.

I get lots of calls from these people claiming to want to decrease the rates on my credit cards. I've told them I'm on the "do no call registry" and asked them to remove me from their call list, but they say the registry doesn't apply to them because they are contacting me on behalf of my credit card companies.

The Purchase Power Solutions people are the most recent to call. I've asked them not to call again. You've just got to have your radar up. No one is going to call and offer you something that benefits you if it doesn't benefit them in some way. There are legitimate debt counselors, but you contact them. They don't contact you. And it's free assistance.

I got a call from James Hahn on Jan 18. Ashamed to say, I fell for it too, hoping that it was real! I talked him down to $498, which he agreed to quite quickly. I guess he thought $498 of scammed money was better than nothing. Anyway, I soon realized that I had been scammed, and cancelled my cards, flagged my account for 90 days at all 3 credit bureaus, and called back to the customer service number the next day. He had called so late on the 18th, that it was closed when i tried back that day. So on the 19th I told them they were a scam and I wanted a refund. He said no and played back my verbal agreement tape, telling me I had agreed to everything. I told them what I heard was myself agreeing to what I know knew was a SCAM and I would have my lawyer checking into it and into their company. He called back within a minute and said since I wanted out so badly they would refund my money. As of today, it has been refunded on one card but not on the other. I will be checking again soon and filing a dispute if it's not refunded asap. I have learned my lesson! NEVER will I give my card numbers to anyone that calls me that I haven't contacted previously!!!

Now they are hitting Washington DC area be warned number is 202 396 2401 when it come up on your caller ID it's blocked so you cannot call back. Call Customer service at 1 888 512 8881 and have you number removed then call FederalTrade commission to report them. The call script describes them as representing Visa Mastecard and being able to reduce you credit card payments they will suck you I. Get your card numbers and then bill you for $998.

very high pressure to sell but their customer service and follow thru is terrible. had to file an attorney general complaint to get my $ back. BEWARE

Pretty much the same spiel everyone else has shared. I was in the process of checking them out on the web when i found this site (waiting, of course, for my call from "the manager"). Clearly, I'm not going to fall for it with all the bad press I've found.

Many years ago, when i was young, working for cheap and had a growing family, i went to Consumer Credit Counsiling - it hurt financially, but they helped. If anyone is looking for debt relief, i'd suggest you try them or some other reputable organization.
