This is the number that comes up on caller i.d. when a reverse 9-1-1 call goes out about an emergency that affects your area. It should be prefaced with "this is an important message from 9-1-1, please press 1 to hear the message" it is also voice activated so it won't start speaking until it hears you say "hello". Did a message go out aroung 12:35 am on 9/22/09? I received a call at a Manitou residence. Quite frankly, it scared me because I didn't know if this was a legitimate call or not. I did push 1 out of reflex. What is this for? It comes up as an ICG Telecom Group, Inc.

Yes I got the same call at the same time last night and I live off of 30th st. It woke me up, could not get back to sleep and I would like to know what the heck that is for.  To warn us of some activity going on in the area?  I did not press one either as I was scared it was some scam.

Got the same call today and found out it was a warning from the police that a sexual preditor that moved into the neighborhood. Press 1 to listen to the message. The recording gives you a CSPD web address to view the preditor. Thought it was a scam before I read this blog.

It says'press any number to hear this message', but if you do press a number, it simply says 'goodbye'. Had this happen twice, so be aware don't press any number at all and it will automatically give you the update
