these son of [***] disturb our because and all calling asking to speak with the owner and they want to speak about a tax issue.  They don't have anybody's name at the company all they want to do is  install fear and collect money from you.  when they call let them have it and hang up

these people are scamming and calling tell you there is tax issue and they don't even have the name of the person the need to speak with.  they target companies because they can get the name of the company from published media and try to get money from them

I got a call today asking for money that I owed to IRS for $13,0000. He said he was with a law firm, he knew my full name but named a random address in another part of my state. I hung up asking he never call back. I do not owe the IRS any money, they would have contacted me by mail and I have not had any issues with taxes in the past.

They are calling here three and four times a day asking for my son who has not lived here in years, had his old address and said there was a tax lien he needed to discuss with him.  They are not even calling on  the right number here.  I feel better after reading the previous post from others to know this is not a good call.

Got two calls from this number. They wanted to know if I was the person to talk to about a tax matter for a company that I no longer work for and furthermore, it is no longer in business. I would like to know how they got my personal phone # for a "business matter". They also had the first names of two of the owners but never once stated last names. They wanted to know if I knew how to get in touch with them. They wanted to leave a message with me and asked me to forward it to them. I hung up on them. Really upsetting!!!! TOTAL SCAM. Called and said I want to talk to the owner.  i told him we are a conglomerate and have no one owner, then hung up on the S.O.B.  Everytime someone calls and asks to speak with the owner we hang up.

They called and had my name and told me I owed 12,000 in state taxes and I told them we were just going over my taxes and I also get a refund just like I did last year,  He kept talk and told me they had agreed to settle to 1200.00 and what credit card did I want to put it on.  He just kept reading his script and did not want to hear anything but a credit card number. WHAT a Scam!!!

Received a call on my WORK phone about a business tax matter relating to a business I closed over 2 years ago. Called said they had "good" news for me. Not sure how they got my work number--not even closely related to the number I had for that particular business. The person who called said her name was Amber Ptasments (???) and left the following number for me to call her back at: 800-363-5054 x 286 which is different from this number that came up on my caller ID and my voice mail. This doesn't smell right to me and I think it's a scam. The caller did NOT identify a company that she was with. I have saved the voice mail message on my work phone.

Called our store and said they were trying to read "Charles' Wine Shop', I apologized since that isn't the name of our business and before I could finish the sentence they hung up. Yikes. Probably a scam. I feel bad for Charles and his Wine Shop. Hope they guy doesn't end up finding them.

Calling place of business, used old owners name, stating about state tax matter.  This is second call; advised we have no tax matters with the state, he stated it is an old matter.  Adv'd would call the state then.  Received the second call today.  From Micheal Bond, 20-20 Financial, ext 143, call 800-363-5054.  However, caller ID is 720-974-9246.

I have been receiving hundreds of calls from Anthony Garcia of 20/20 financial. Wanted to speak with the business owner, regarding a tax matter with the state. I have no tax matters with the state. When I tried to question him where he got the information from he said he wasn't at liberty to say. I told him I had no tax matters with the state, and to stop calling. He said he was going to keep calling several times a day until we paid the bill. Again, I asked what bill...he hung up.  I then proceeded to contact my state division of taxation. They have advised me that this company, 20/20 finance, BBC company (by the way when I asked the caller what BBC stood for, he said it didn't stand for anything!), and Pioneer Credit are all scam companies and not to take their calls. The state requested all the information, times of calls, names, telephone numbers. I gave them what I had.

I received a call from the Anthony Garcia as well over the last few weeks. I reported this to our company attorney who called and told him to take us off his marketing sales list. They try to scare you with the IRS TAX LIEN and market his business as someone that can help you. I believe the hype, it's a sale scam. Call 720-974-9246, ext 288 and tell him to stop calling your number if he continues to call you, notify your attorney.

I just received a call from them on my cell#.. and how they got my number I have no idea.., but..I didn't answer.. i never do if i don't recognize the number..and I ALWAYS CHECK THEM OUT ON THIS SITE.. and...waaala!! another SCAM..so sick of them!!.. so thankful for this site!!..

"Kyle" from 20/20 called in - asked to speak to the owner about a tax issue.  Didn't even have the owners name.  Transferred to me (not owner).  I asked what the call is in reference to, he said he's kyle with 20/20 tax services and he needs to speak to the owner about his federal tax filing, and was he in?  I said yes, but I'm not going to transfer you because I have a difficult time believing you are reviewing a tax filing and you don't know the owners name.  He said well that's what I am doing.  I said ok, I'll take a message but I wont transfer you nor will I give you names.  His call back number was 303-938-9981 but caller ID said the number he called in was 720-974-9246.  Total scam.

Got a call yesterday from 20/20 with 720-974-9246 on caller ID... told my Husband we had a tax lien of 101K on our business from September 2014. My Husband told him to kick rocks and hung up. He called back today asking for my Husband (not many sales people get past me).. I told him I could help him and he proceeded to tell me the same thing. I told him he was full of it, he told me it was public record... I just laughed at him and told him if their were a lien on my business I would be aware of it and WAY BEFORE NOW. I hung up on him. This is a scam... DO NOT FALL FOR IT!!

Appears to me that  this group is engaging    in the same sort of tactics that the debt scammers use.  They are trying to scare up business by making up a  non-existent tax problem.     With the understanding, of course, that  they can make the whole thing go away if you just use their services.   If you need representation go to an EA or CPA with a regular brick and mortar address that's been around for awhile.  In most cases you can negotiate a settlement yourself without hiring assistance if you have the time.   Of course, complex tax issues may require representation.   I'm an Enrolled Agent (inactive) and recommend against  agreeing  to any representation over the phone or e-mail.  Especially from a cold-caller.
