I had the same thing happen to me between yesterday and today.  When I told them that I would be more than happy to give them my banks phone number and they could call and verify that the account is active and open.  The girl got angry and hung up on me. This was yesterday.  I then received a phone call this morning and when I talked to the gentleman and in the process of asking him to remove my name from the list and explaining to him why he hung up again.  Let me know if you need anyone else with the FBI investigation. This number is calling all the time on my cell phone.  They call at least 5 or more times a day.

I just got a phone call from that number (727) -528-7129. They said they were given my information from a company that had denied me credit, they did not need to do a report, all that was needed was bank info. I asked who gave them my info, she replied . . .it was a she . . . Since you have been denied, you would have to check your credit report for that info. I asked them for their website (www.americanfinancial.net) and told them I needed to get more information on their company and I would call them back.

I had just received a call from American Financial card, a company from Florida telling me about credit. .. . a minute later . .  I got a call from a gold card company. I asked them where they were from and he said Florida. I told him I was not interested.

I have yet to answer the calls, these people call throughout the day.   I do not answer the phones if I do not know the number I too try calling the number back and no luck doesnt even ring.  How can we stop these folks.  My email is busterwt@yahoo.com

Been getting calls from them for the last couple of days. Wouldn't mind, but I only moved from Europe 2 months ago, only got my cell phone 2 weeks ago. I haven't applied for any credit anywhere.

My question is, where are these people getting my cell number from?  This is very illegal.

I have been getting phone call after phone call from these people ... numerous times a day for the last three days. Every time I call the number back, it is a busy signal, so today when it rang, I picked it up. They asked if this was.. (my name) and I replied yes. They said great I'm (whatever his name was) calling from American Financial and I wanted to let you know that we received your application and you have been approved for a financing loan. Then proceeded to try and verify my address, bank acct etc.. I got spooked and hung up the phone because I figured something was up. They have not called back, but I keep getting more calls. I saw in a previous post that someone got a call from this number with someone claiming to be from American Gold Card or whatever... they called me today too, only I gave them my bank acct information!!! That's only because I had just applied for a credit card with a company that had a similar name. I am going to have to go to the bank tomorrow and talk to them to make sure nothing happens to my account and possibly even close it out.

the number on caller id was 727-528-7129 from American Financial, the name on caller id was Your're Approved, the rep almost got my grandmother to accept an 18,000 loan because she had been denied somewhere else and they picked up her information.  She hadn't applied anywhere.  She started asking the rep questions, like what's your company name, how did you get my information and the rep quickly hung up.

Just so everyone knows. .. I already made a previous post on here a couple days ago , and now I looked at my bank statement and there is a check that I supposedly wrote to a company called everreadycardservice.com I did NOT write this check but yet it is a photocopy of one I supposedly wrote. I have to go to the bank tomorrow... I went to the website and it is no longer active ... total scam and I think "American Financial" and "Gold Card" and this telephone number are somehow connected. It is too coincidental that these two incidents would happen so close to one another.

I received a lot of calls from that number but I never answered because it sound weird to me. After reading all this I'm glad I never did it.

I received a call from 727-528-7129 today as well.  I have gotten several calls from this number previously.  Whoever it is, they will not be hearing from me. I wish I could tell them that, if you like being hung up on and hearing a click, keep on calling and dialing till your damn fingers fall off.

I have been receiving calls from this number for 2 days 2/4/08 and 2/5/08. I finally was able to catch the person. He said he was from Capital Financial and he stated I was calling to assist me in helping me with my credit. He said that is what you are trying to do isn't it? I told him NO my credit is fine and I asked him how did he get my number this is a cell phone. He didn't have an answer, he said I must have clicked something on the internet. I told him I'm not interested and he hung up.

I have received several calls from this number.  The first time I asked the phone the young man ask for a family member I ask want was the nature of his call and he replied"  This is a courtsey call for the family member who does not use my phone.  The calls continue the next day i answer my cell phone and I believe the young man refer to the company as a Automotive company something like First Auto Credit.

Yep i got a call like that,..but when i go to answer,..it rings a couple times then it hangs up,..so i called the number on a landline and I get the busy signal,..they called me 7 times within an hour...I'm so sickl an tired of this,..this and that 514-555-5555 number,..they do the same thing!

As soon as the guy said he was from First American Gold, I told him I wasn't interested and to remove my name from his list. Of course he hung up.

Received numerous calls from this number. When I try to call it back all I get is a busy signal. Somone should report this number. They call my cell number all the time.

Ya same thing, been calling me all week, but im not answering. this is one of the many other numbers that have been calling me with the same story for about 6 months now.....but what i want to know is how we can go about stoping these basically illegal inquires?
