They called me at 10:01  today and then again at 16:04 on my cell phone and it rang once and then hung up and I have no clue who it is.

Asked for a Charles Childers.  No one by this name is at this number and this name was used for some fraud.

This number called my cell phone at 5:47pm on 7-18-08.  Since I didn't recognize the number, I didn't answer it.  They just called my cell phone again today, 22 July 2008, at 10:59am.  Neither time was a voicemail left.

They are Scam Artists that want to issue you a credit card. Somewhere, you applied for either a payday loan, opted for offers from partners of a company you use, etc... THIS IS HOW THEY GOT YOUR NUMBER.

If you did not sign up for, give your information to, etc.. ANYONE or ANY BUSINESS then someone did.

I too receive these calls from CFFA also known as the "Central Florida Financial Association"

If you truly feel that you have not given out your personal information over the internet then please contact the Florida Attorney General as well as, your own State Attorney General.

There is a wonderful product feature for your phone line if you are a Verizon Customer Called "Call Intercept" this will allow you to block calls from numbers that annoy you, you will always know who is calling if they block their name and number from your Caller ID. If you do not have Verizon as your phone company (LANDLINE RESIDENTIAL AND BUSINESS CUSTOMERS ONLY) Check with your carrier to see if it is available as a feature on your home phone. Works like a Charm. If this is not a solution to your problem look in your Phone Book for what the Code is for CALL TRACE. This keeps a log of the number of times this number has called you and eventually it will be given over to your local law enforcement agency and the individual arrested for harassment.

I called this number to let them know to close the account, when told that I had to give them 35 dollars for something I didn't receive from them, my daughter had to get on the phone just to get an understanding. But there still wasn't any understanding with these crooked people. We spoke to maybe his name was Jason and another guy whose name, that probably was fake John Lawson. And another which was the first person that I spoken with he was, I mean very rude, these people need to stop trying to take our hard earned money for themselves, including the ones who get Social Security and etc.

I started receiving calls from this number. I found that they are a Card (catalog) business that tries to sell you a $2,500.00 credit card that can only be used in there catalog sales. They will attempt to get information from you to access your checking account and charge your account $300.00 for the use of this so called credit card. I had made application to a legitimate company looking for a loan for a home that I own. When I decided not to take the loan I guess i was passed off to this company for one reason or another. HERE IS HOW I STOPPED THE CALLS. I CALLED THERE 800 NUMBER AT 800-683-1923. I TOLD THE PERSON THAT ANSWERED THAT I GOT THE 800 NUMBER FROM THE FLORIDA ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE. I THEN TOLD THEM THAT THEY TOLD ME TO CALL THIS (800) NUMBER AND SEE IF YOU
(THE CFFA) WOULD LIKE TO STOP CALLING MY PHONE NUMBER OR I WAS GOING TO BECOME A PLAINTIFF IN A CASE THAT THE ATTORNEY GENERAL WAS DEVELOPING. I GAVE THEM MY NAME AND PHONE NUMBER THAT THEY HAD BEEN CALLING. I TOLD THEM THAT I WAS TO CALL THE AGENT BACK IF I CONTINUED TO GET CALLS FROM THEM.....................ALL THE CALLS STOPPED AT ONCE........when you call just be firm don't be abusive, act like you have a answer to the situation if they don't stop calling... it will get there attention

they called me and asked information about my bank and my ssn and said i was approved of a 2,500 loan that i guess i applied for [***] its a scam i never applied for a loan i told them that and they hung up!

I thought it was just me, they call 20 times in one day I finally answer and the guy said my name when I said who is this? They hung up.

the caller said that i am approved for a credit card and am i over 18 i said if i am approved wouldnt you already know how old i am .  then he asked if i have a bank account and through who.  I told him i will not discuss that over the phone and he hung up.

They just called me at 11am... while I was at work on my cell.
I was like WTF... 727 area code???
I figured it would be one of those kind of calls about a credit card approval.
So I answered it... and of course they knew my name... gave me their sales pitch.
I just told him I'm not interested, and if they could please take me off their list.
He was polite, and said he could do that...
But let's see what happens.
As far as this do not call list. I don't believe in that... If anyone has your number... list or not. They're going to call. Like they really care.
All we can do is file a complaint...
Most of these are scams... and very hard to track.
And we usually deal with it by not answering the calls and hope they'll stop... or change our cell #. And also learn not to apply for credit cards online... because that's where they're getting our number.

Caller left no message

I am also getting calls on my cell from the same #.....and when I call it back there is no answer. I am also on the do not call list and they still got my #. I dont think it is right.

this is a similar scam to the 4082153856 don't believe them. Report them to the police

asked for checking account number, said they were a merchant credit company to help build up credit.  They wanted you to pay $300.00 to get the credit card.  When I said I would have to talk it over with my husband, they hung up on me.

We recently talked to a mortgage broker about purchasing a house and have been getting calls from solicitors. I had finally gotten all the calls to stop GRRRR lol. Anyways... I tried telling the lady who called from CFFA to remove my name from their calling list, but she hung up before I could get "remove" out of my mouth. The man that answered SAID he would remove my number but we'll see. Also you may be on hold for quite awhile waiting on someone to answer, I was. I guess I need to go out and purchase another air horn to handle the calls.

The no. 727-683-0725 has left a message here several times.  One time I answered the phone and the male caller asked for my wife.  I said she was not home and he immediately hung up.  I called Central Florida Finances Associates (Complaint No.) and complained.  The male recipient of my complaint call said he did not know that 727-683-0725 was a number originating from their office.  Yeah, yeah . . . right.  Whatever.

they call and ask alot of personal info then they hang up when u dont want to give it to them.
