I am writing in response to your weekend telephone calls! According to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act,   [15 USC 1692c] Section 805(c): CEASING COMMUNICATION: You must cease all communication with me after being notified in writing that I no longer wish to communicate with you on Holidays, Saturdays or Sundays. Therefore, I demand that you stop calling me at home, at work, on my cell phone or at any other location on these days!
In accordance with the federal FDCPA, now that you have received this "stop calling" letter, you may only contact me to inform me that you:
Are terminating further collection efforts on these days;
Invoking specified remedies which are ordinarily invoked by you or your company; or Intend to invoke a specified remedy.

Any future contact by you or your company violates the FDCPA and that since you already have my location information, calls made by you or your company's to any third party concerning me violates section 805(b) 2 of the FDCPA.

I keep accurate records of all correspondence from you and your company, including date stamped tape recording on your phone calls. If you continue calling me on these days, I will pursue all available legal actions to stop you from harassing my family and me.

Anyone have an address to where we can send the above mentioned letter? I'm receiving at least 20 calls a day from them and under several of the numbers you all have listed here.

They use numbers that show up on your caller ID as a city & state in the U.S.  I think they are hoping that you will know someone from that city & state and answer the call. This happened to me and I got a caller that did not speak English well.  She wanted me to confirm my social security number to verify who I was!  I asked her where she was calling from and with reluctance, she confirmed that she was calling from the Phillipines.  I told her that there was no way I was going to give any personal information to someone calling from a foreign country & to have someone from the U.S. call me.  She said that they were going to keep calling me and then hung up!

These idiots keep calling here, too.  It's Capitol One.  I have repeatedly asked them to stop calling and to take my number off their list.  They say they do, but I keep getting calls.  We don't even have an account with them.  Anyone know how to stop them?

I had a few messages from before my period of economic difficulty, real person each time, from a number credited to Capital One.  Then, once I stopped being able to afford my bills (started new job recently, then hopefully I can get these "people" to stop bothering me) "Linda" started calling me at least twice a day every day, including holidays and Sundays.  The former hasn't contacted me once since.  Today is a Sunday, and between 10 and 10:30, "Linda" called twice, from the same number.  I'm pretty certain that I've read somewhere before that such close timing is illegal.

Oh, and if it were the company directly, as is claimed by kkk, why don't they ever leave a message other than a prerecorded one?  I know they are capable, as they harassed me in such a manner BEFORE I had ANY problems with my payments.

I wish "Linda" from Capital One would loose my # since she is relentless when calling !!!!! STOP IT !!!!!!

They keep calling my number, but it went right to voicemail, and only the very last part can be heard. Says to call a number that was half cut off if interested. I don't have capitol one and have never had capitol one. I don't understand why they'd call me.

i got thier address online,its at a house.31jacob dr,howell nj 07731..they live in a mc mansion there.i called them to see who it was.& the operator says its not in service.weird since the call came in 3 min prior to me calling them back i thought it might have been a job since my husband has been looking for a job.but no.its just people that harass y for capital one.i hope they go bankrupt & lose thier mc mansion.just for having a business that harasses people that are having financial hardship.ecspecially in this economy that wont be better until atliest 2016
