This phone number is blowing up my phone. This number calls me like 3 or 4 times right after each other back to back. I don't recognize the number so i just ignore it...

In addition to a call blocking device that I use regularly (it allows me to block individual numbers or entire area codes), I have simply gotten rid of any answering device at my home (VM or machine).  These folks will NEVER reach a live person and, hopefully, will eventually give up.  Furthermore, any company that calls with a generic ID and/or phone that doesn't clearly identify themselves up front will never reach me - ever.  Silence is bliss!

Calling there number to tell them to stop is not consent to call!
They keep calling, So they are blocked.
Consumer lawyer may be next.

3-4 calls a day from these a**holes. I never answered, and used up one of my Verizon blocks to put a (probably temporary) stop.

Called my home number a few minutes ago.  No message left.

Local Utility.  Ya right.

This number called us and left no message . caller Id said local utility . number is from New Jersey I live in So-Cal that isn't very local . SCAM CALL !

I get the same message from multiple numbers from coast to coast. Very annoying.

No message left, I wonder why they think me or someone else living in So. California would even pick-up their telephone w/ a Caller ID like that.

Caller ID shows "Local Utility" and then this number.  The purported area code is on the opposite of the country, definitely not "local". Phone is now always answered by Sentry robo call block which gives the message that our number does not accept calls from telemarketers, etc and to remove number of their database. It then hangs up on them. This gives the appropriate legal requirement to perhaps, someday, go after these guys.

call from unknown area code 732-  CID says "local Utility"  hmmm really I don't think so...  another # added to call block.  

Same message as quoted above. ID read "LOCAL UTILITY". I'm in SoCal and the number is from another state. DUH! I listened only to get the info to file a DNC complaint (not that I expect anything to come from it.

Gee, why would a "UTILITY COMPANY" in New Jersey want to give me, a California resident, $21,000 in "credit rewards"????

Good news was that "Press 3 if you do not want to receive these calls" was an option!  WOW!

Can hardly wait to see if "3" works.

I'm in CA and the caller id was in NJ local utility? stupid! BLOCKED the call forever.

Rec'd phone calls from this number on 8/15 and 8/18. Caller ID said local utility. I live in Calif, so I am about as "un-local" as you get from NJ. Pretty obvious it's a scam.
