Caller ID University of Michigan.

I do not want to be contacted for a freaking survey. Not interested!

Not interested in whatever it is your selling.. offerings.... questioning etc

They call but never leave a message. Annoying. I will not answer to this number.

Don't call again

No survey

Do not call my number again

Left vmail, calling from Univ of Michigan asking for opinion on how economy has affected your household to make up consumer confidence report for month of june. Study has been done for over 8 years. Scam!!!

Actually, not a scam, and it's not political. It's a study that's been done since 1946 and is one of the nation's leading economic indicators. It's predicted every recession and recovery from recession in the past 70 years. More info can be found at http://www.sca.isr.umich.edu/.

Finally the first post I've seen that is accurate.

If you're googling the number then the 2nd result would/should be University of Michigan Social Research. On that page there should be a "Numbers we may have contacted you from." This is one of the numbers listed. It's not a scam. Idiots. It may not be something you're interested in or particularly like but that doesn't make it a scam. It is a survey.

Got a voicemail the first time about the survey from University of Michigan. Don't know how they got my number but legit it answer?

Caller identified themselves as Derek Sewell and stated that he was calling from University of Michigan Social Research about the nation's economic & that they only survey 600 people. Asked me to call them at 1-877-556-1542 if I was interested in participating.

Do you often look up known phone numbers? Why? See, anyone receiving a legitimate call from this number would have no reason to come here.
