- CSThis place has recently started calling me 3-4 times a day. Usually when I'm at work and can't answer the phone. They do not say what this is about, just tell me to call back. From researching it, it seems it's a debt collector. I do not owe any bills anywhere. Everything is paid. Since this just started in the last week I can only assume they have an incorrect number, but it's just a recording. It's VERY annoying!

- Jeanna| 1 replyThis call was from Credit Acceptance. They called to tell me I needed to make a &562 payment to keep them from repossessing my car. I was in shock! I have payments automatically taken from my bank account & to my knowledge have never missed any. Apparently a year ago, Oct.2013, a payment was returned & has been gathering late fees ever since. I was never notified about any of this. I was told it is MY responsibility to check my bank balance & take care of it. If I saw this, I would have assumed it would be sent back. I told them, since I do not have that much today, & know absolutely nothing about this, would they send me the information & give me a week to take care of it. They would not! As soon as I get this taken care of, I will get finance somewhere else. This company is horrible!!!!

- JeannaOh, forgot to mention that I never ever received anything from Credit Acceptance through the mail, or even (until today) a voice message to return a call. I have never got any information - US mail, text, email, etc - from them about my account. Since payments were made regularly, & I am not ready to pay them off, I never looked anything up because I had no reason to. I am 70 years old & have financed many things in my lifetime. NEVER have I EVER had anything done like this! Their answer to everything was 'it is YOUR responsibility' to look up, apparently on the internet, everything about them. They are not responsible to do anything at all.

- TeresaThis number belongs to Credit Acceptance and they will bug you every hour . They are a TERRIBLE CREDIT COMPANY FOR A CAR LOAN. they get personal and are very RUDE, their customer service people get too personal and its none of there business why you cant pay or late. They are not suppose to ask personal questions. I have e-mailed the Corporate Office several times. So if you buy a car DO NOT HAVE the car lot go with this company because they will bug you even if you pay on time and they do not Refinance at all.

- ConfusedThis # came up on my cell caller Id. "Ms. Long" said she was looking for me (she used my first & last name), I asked what it was in reference to. She said she was calling to verify personal references -given to them by my son (BLATENT LIE). He's been trying to rebuild he credit so I thought cool, I can help him get back on track.Unfortunately before I caught onto her scam I verified my sons' address. My son has no credit appl with this company and now I've had to make that call to the FTC & lawyer to stop this "person" from using his information and or harassing us again. What ever happened to privacy rights !? Why is it that these unscrupulous people & companies are allowed to not only scam people as a business but to harass anyone they chose thru the luck of the computer dial !

- WendyThey are calling me 3-4 times a day at work and on my cell. I do have an auto loan with this company and checked my account online which is currently up to date and my next auto pay is due to come out Dec. 10th. I have only had this loan for two months and have even made an extra payment on my account. I do not see any reason why they are calling me, the calls are coming from different numbers and they do not leave a message on my voicemails. I would like these calls to stop unless they are willing to leave a message and tell me why they are calling. My account is new and current to date.

- JenniferDear Lord don't get a car financed through these people. I have spoken with at least 10 people who keep giving me a different story about what and why I owe something. I'll owe only $1300 and can't wait to be finished. I have received over 10 calls today alone about some late fees. Happens every damn months. How can I be late on something that is on auto draft from my bank???

- Rusty1325| 5 repliesFunny seeing all these dead beats crying about being bugged By Credit Acceptance, Here is a thought PAY YOUR CAR PAYMENT AND THEY WILL NOT CALL !!!!!!! You signed an agreement to pay your auto loan on time and if you do you will not get a call. But if by chance there was a error such as in my case they take care of it in a very curtious manner.

- Doris Charles| 1 replythis is a new phone for me. I have been receiving calls from this number
- Badge714 replies to Doris CharlesSorry to say the problem here is your new number is someone else old number, and they got rid of it for a reason. Please consider call blocking if it gets to be too much for you. Around $40. The newer ones block area codes as well as individual numbers.
- David replies to Rusty1325[***].... They have called numerous times and for no reason at all. (Tried to say they hadn't received my payment and when I checked the bank draft it had already been taken out and was current) My payments are automatically taken out each month 5 days before the due date. That is a 5 day span for them to get the money and apply it. Once it is taken out of my account what they do with it is THEIR RESPONSIBILITY, NOT MINE. The payments have been set up and they have no reason to call at all. Not everyone is a dead beat who doesn't pay their bills as you assume. Did you not read some of the complaints?
Courteous manner????? Not in the least. They were rude, disrespectful, hateful and anything but Courteous. Tried to tell me it was MY RESPONSIBILITY to make sure THEY applied the money taken out of my account to my account??? WTF. - VicI have an account with Credit Acceptance. I used to call them when I knew my payment would be late by a day or two, since my payment date sometimes falls when the funds wouldn't be in my bank yet. I was told not to worry, just make the paymet when you can. Ok...sounds fine to me. They do call on the Friday asking where it is, usually when I'm online about to hit the send button..lol. Hardly a complaint, but they really should read the account notes. And I refuse to do automatic payments, that is just asking for problems

- Ladygreen15 replies to Rusty1325I started receiving calls from them demanding payment with threats of reporting to the credit bureaus 9 days BEFORE my very 1st payment was due; then they started calling 1 week after I made my payment ON TIME!!! Not exactly sure how that makes me a deadbeat. I believe it is harassment on their part.
- Just MeThis is some kind of scam. I have no car note, no house note and no loans of any type. In other words, I don't owe money to anybody

- Katie| 1 replyThis is THE Worst company I have every had to deal with. I paid every truck payment on time and had the following months payment in the mail and they repoed my truck. Then they wanted an additional car payment plus some additional fees to get it back....... I told them to keep the truck if they needed it that bad! They then had the nerve to ask me how was I going to get back and forth from work without the truck.....I kindly explained to them that I had another car that was being financed through Wells Fargo and that I didn't need there truck. I then went out and purchased another car and that is being financed by GM.
- Caller: Credit Acceptance
- Call type: Debt collector
- B-Edwards replies to KatieI think you got very lucky on getting another car after that repo. Most finance companies would not be thrilled about loan to someone who had a truck collected by repo. Not everyone can count on having the same good results. Mileage my vary, as they say in the car biz.
- David replies to Rusty1325Well these people call me from time to time and I've never financed through them, ever. I also have good credit and no accounts in collections. My Lexus payments have never been late. It's a computer made call.
I can only assume that someone gave them a false contact number. After reading the comments here I will never finance through them. But with good credit I'll never have to.
However, my patience is wearing thin. If they continue to harass me I will be contacting a lawyer in short order. Then they will be paying me.
