Called to ask for money for "the police association, a 527 organization".  Something odd about his stilted halting speech.  I said "OK, I'll support the police, but how do I know you are who you say you are?  I don't do donations on cold calls."  He hung up.

It's a pishing game.
I don't give my cell phone number out to business nor charities.
Consider this a scam.
Illegal phone call as I'm on do not call list & since I don't give my cell phone number out, it should not have been called to begin with.

Something about Police association alliance. Sounded like a recording/bot. Probably a scam.

Aggressive man calling on behalf of a "police association" trying to get my credit card info for a donation. Seemed like a scam to me because I asked for the group's website to research them and he said they didn't have one.

Some scammer called just to hang up on the answering machine.

Hang-up call,would not even consider answering a unknown name call at 8:30 on a sunday night.

SCAM! Usually says something about the Police Association, this time it was the Firefighters Assoc.  Wants you to donate so they can get your credit card information.
