Implied I was in trouble with federal government, must return call to clear name

It appears to be a fishing call. India accented stating something about avoiding a magistrate or grand jury action if I call the number back their number 754-212-0395 they called from was 754-212-0394. I don't believe they keep trying this but I always use 800notes to find the info. I guess that I the second for this [***].

Same here.  Trying to scare me into calling them back.  Sounds like a real scam for sure! This is exactly what my voicemail recorded:

"Regarding an enforcement action executed by the United States treasury and tending your serious attention. Ignoring this will be an intentional second attempt to avoid initial appearance before magistrate judge or a grand jury for federal criminal offense. My number is 754-212-0394. I repeat 754-2120-394. I'd like you to call freight(?) with us and help us to help you. Thank you."

Just found the identical message on my parents' voicemail! Verbatim, down to the "I repeat". What the crap is this?!

Just got done Googling this number, and you won't believe all the crap that showed up. Had to TRANSLATE it from CHINESE! And the list of numbers they have is unbelievable, just frickin' crazy. There are THOUSANDS of these numbers registered. And the pics that popped up......sex, cartoon sex....STAY AWAY FROM THIS NUMBER!!!

Same scary tactic as indicated by other posts. Very frightening to elderly people and those fragile with family illness or limited funds. These jerks need to be put behind bars!  There must be some way for the FBI to investigate these cretins who perpetrate fraud across state lines to the public. All the warnings you read about in Consumer Reports and other sources will tell you this is not the way the government contacts you.

Ditto.  Friend of mine recently had similar scam call about unpaid income taxes.

Report these calls to phishing@irs.gov. This is an obvious scam.

Same message. Verbatim. I wish they make the option of blocking numbers available on home phones like they do on cell phones.

Many of them do.  Check with your provider.

I received voice message from 754 212-0394 stating call was "regarding an enforcement action executed by the United States treasury. It sounded like a [***] scare tactic. So I did a google search, which led me here. Glad to find that others who received this call posted messages that confirm my suspension.

this number left a voicemail message three days in a row.  Very scary. I was very suspicious but I wish they would stop calling.

Got the exact same call today verbatim. Hard to believe someone would call back but they must or scammers would not keep calling.

These guys change their Caller ID / number periodically. Fortunately I can block 256 numbers.

Wasn't home when they called.  Got the exact same message as others.  Creepy!  CID is Deerfield, Florida and I'm in New York.

Same as all of the above.  Scary and creepy.  You would think that law enforcement could get these guys.  Where is the NSA/FBI//DOJ/etc. when you need them to do something useful??????

I got the exact message! Jerks!

Second call this month saying that the US Treasury is executing an action against me. First call was from a DC cell number. These calls are disgusting! I hope that no one falls victim to this scam.
