I have no idea why I got this call; no message was left and they have not called back.

Got a call from this number didn't answer as I don't know who it is and they left no message.....Please STOP CALLING ME

Your callers do not maintain this site or this web page. Your callers cannot magically determine which numbers should not be called based on anonymous comments. You cannot expect compliance with your orders until, if possible, you deliver them directly to your caller.

Got a call from this number... silence for 2-3 seconds (which is never a good thing) then a sassy-sounding recorded female message started "Let me ask you a question..."
Click. I don't need to listen to a question from a recorded message!

I didn't answer - they left no message

Pre-recorded message about how  'You can see this is a jam packed conference call' and how he got this 5 years ago. . .then I hung up.

I have no idea why I got this call today (I don't know anyone in FL, which is where the call originated from).  No message was left and they have not called back.

Got a call from this number stating Deerfield Beach, FL.  Don't know what they wanted but did not leave a message.
Sick and tired of these SCAMMERS calling on my cell phone.  I pay for every call.

This was a scam call from a recorded voice offering me the opportunity to earn a 5 digit income.  I didn't listen to any more... got all the info i needed to hang up.

So - kind of wondering why so many people waste their time (and ours) posting things like "I have no idea who called" or "Didn't answer and don't know who called" or "They didn't leave a message so I don't know who called."  This site is designed, primarily (I assume) to make money for the people who set it up (because they get paid for the advertising here) but then for people who are wondering who called them if they missed that call.  If I see something like "This was a call from Walgreen's mail order pharmacy," then I am not going to block that number.  If I see "This was a call from someone claiming my computer has a virus" then of course I am going to block that number.  But what is the point of telling us that you have no idea who called?  L. Allis, above, stated that he/she didn't know what they wanted and they didn't leave a message, but also said he/she was "Sick and tired of these SCAMMERS..."   Well yes, we are all sick and tired of the scammers, but not every caller that does not leave a message is a scam call.  It would be helpful for folks to mention who was calling if they DO answer the phone or if the caller DOES leave a message.  Telling us you have no idea who called doesn't give us even the tiniest bit of useful information.

Got a call on 14apr16 @ 5.03pm on cell#. Caller id shows "754-227-1058" and "Deerfield Beach, FL". No message.

Got a call from this number. I didn't answer. Glad I didn't. It is now blocked

Didn't bother. Don't know anyone there. Just pushed the FU button and adios.

My call block app, well blocked the call.  Didn't leave a message so not someone I know.

When I get a call and no message is left, I check here to see if others received a call from the same #.  Than I know it is a # I can block if several mention they received calls from the same #.  I appreciate all that take the time to post on here.

In fairness, junk callers who abandon their calls at an excessive rate leave many recipients with nothing to report apart from a Caller ID entry and maybe a dud message. To some extent it is useful to have a rough idea how many calls are generated. But I agree that it helps no one for a person who heard no words from a caller to decide for the audience to cry "scam".

In kind, a comment saying merely "blocked/ignored" tells us one person's reaction but nothing about the purpose or identity of a caller, findings which some 800Notes users are hoping to see here, so they can decide for themselves what to do next. The instruction above every number thread asks us to "help identify" mystery callers. It does not tell us to make unilateral write-offs on the presumption that this site is nothing more than a glorified block list.
