ID says Portsmouth VA, bur internet list number as the number for a temporary office complex in Norfolk, VA. Rings 4 times and no message. Consider it a pest call.

I called it back. It is something called "the fundraising center" I don't know who or what it was attempting to raise funds for.

A short Google search will show you that there are at least three entities called "the fundraising center".  Those entities are located in Texas, Kentucky, and Ohio.

"Charity Navigator" says no regulated companies have that name.  It lists 100+ unregulated companies, but none has the exact name, "the fundraising center".

My guess: unless you work for a licensed charity, and unless you are looking for someone to help you organize and direct your next drive, you might want to give to the exact charity you like.

I got to it too late. I wouldn't have answered anyway. How did they get my number?? I got this phone a few months ago nobody has this number. For a good reason!

It is a fundraiser for women with breast cancer who can no longer afford their treatment. They ask for no information other than an address to send you an information card and the option to donate.

Called and left no message.

Just got a call and did not pick up and, of course, no message was left.  I am now reporting this number to the government do not call list complaint.  I don't know whether this will do any good!  We are sick and tired of these telemarketers, scammers, robocalls!!!!!!!  They do not stop, even on holidays!!!!!

Since someone mentioned it, this company/charity goes by the name of Breast Cancer Awareness.  Do not answer and do not give these people a dime, they are a fraud masquerading as someone who cares about the cause.  After being bombarded by this company, I did some research and found that for every dollar they take in, only $0.10 goes to the actually cause.  I reported them to the FCC and the calls eventually stopped, now they've found another number I have through their relentless robo calling .  If you block the number they call from, they just start calling from other numbers throughout the US.

I received a call from this number and she was trying to tell me I won a "stay at a resort".

Just got a call from (757) 215-2388.

Bot that asks, "Hello, this is Allison from the Warranty Department, can you hear me ok?"  I hung up after hearing that.  Similar calls are mentioned here:

Godless Teleterrorist soliciting for donations to support ISIS and Al Qaeda in their war against America in order to be able to infiltrate American borders and slaughter as many Americans as possible. Authorities say they are also using the number 757-215-2389 to solicit for terrorist support from.

These cretins are using robocalls to try and sell me a cruise. They use different numbers and are rude when you ask them to take you off the list. So now I just waste their time ans I waste as much of it as I can. Time is money.

Called, asking for donations to support "freedom" in the world. Arabic accented English. Ended with "Praise Allah". Block this number and call your local Police Department and report it.

Just received a call from this number. I answered cuz it said Portsmouth where our dental providers are and I'm expecting a call from them. Sounded like one of our oral surgeons and asked if I can hear them so I said yes. And then continued on talking about a Disney trip. I asked him "are you there" then he said "yes I can hear you clearly" then went on and on again about the trip and if I have a credit card to use for the trip, which told me it's some sort of an automated caller. Grrrr. I wish these people would just stop.

I got a call from them and answered by saying "Hello, you're on a recorded line" and they immediately hung up. I'm going to keep trying that on these scammers to see if it works.  As a precaution I still blocked the number on my phone.
