Someone call me from this number stating that they were from the criminal investigation unit of Virigina and needed me to take care of this matter. They had my ss. # and all. I know they are a scam because it is the same indian speaking people that was calling last month. Don't give them any info. I have never even been to Virgina.

I have also recieved a call from Robert Matthew stating that I had warrants for my arrest regaurding a legal matter. I do not know who this person is but he has my ss# and all personal info as well as bank information. He stated he was with some investigations company.

I got a call from "Max Johnson" at 757-255-8591 claiming I was in legal trouble and he could help. This has scam written all over it. He is an Indian man claiming to be Max Johnson. I haven't and will not give him any info.

These foreign [***] keep calling my work and personal cell phone # and I am getting tired of this [***]! I told the [***] that they can try to sue me if they want and to bring it on because I will counter sue and they will regret ever F*#king with me!

i am receiving these call from an indiana speaking man stating his name is eric williams and he is from the department of crime and investigation of virigina. He then stated that i have a lega matter and need to obtain an attorney by the end of the day, if not i will be arrested either by home or at work.

I have the same problem.  same name, number.

This guy called at home-- and today at my school, telling the office clerk the same story of being a Virginia police officer-- my office clerk took the message, but she also told him that our phones are "bugged" and they'd be able to trace the call.  He hung up, but it pisses me off that it got this far.  I showed them this site.  I also kept the message for the complaint I need to file.

They called saying I am wanted for check fraud. He threatened me by saying I will be arrested today at five and I should contact my attorney.

I recieved a message from the ame #.  I called the # back it was an indian speaking guy who said his name was Michael Sinclair and he was with the department of crime and invetigation of Virginia.  He told me that I would be arrested today at 5 and that I needed to give him my attorneys # so they can get the matter taken care of.  When I asked what the matter was, he kept going on about needing an attorney.  finally after a few mins arguing with the guy, he said it was about a loan that I did not pay off.  I recieved a call like this a year ago at my job o I knew it was an scam.  I got all his info and called the bureau of invetigations down in Richmond and Hampton Va.  They said they never heard of him and that was not a # that they use.  So I called him back and told him I contacted the police down there, now he will not anwer any of my phone calls.  I knew it was a scam all along.

someone from this number called me too and left a voice mail. I will not call them back though.

On 1/31/2011 at around 6pm, a man called me claiming his name was Officer Scott Mason calling from Gwinnett County regarding a Money Cash Advance. He then called me names, cussed and threatened to have me arrested the next day if I did not pay him $843.00 for a supposedly a $400 online loan he claims I applied for out online. He knew my social security number, address, full name, email address and last place of employment and said if I didn't pay him the company was going sue me and I would have to pay over $2000 in court charges. Then he had me write down his phone number to call him back which is (404) 981-6103 and said I had to fax him something in writing stating that I authorize the debit in the amount of $843 from a prepaid card or credit card towards my outstanding amount and I ensure the payment won't get declined and I won't dispute this payment along with the date the money will be sent, the card information, exp date, CVV#, billing address, my signature, and attached photo id and to fax to (650) 560-1721. I have since contacted my local police department and filed a report with BBBonline, the FBI, consumer reports online, social security dept., and posted a message to every scam site I could find on the internet.
And since I have received at least 2 emails from individuals stating that the same thing or similar has happened to them. See below:

On 2/8/2011 same situation occurred:
Caller claims there is a lawsuit filed against my name and social security #, threatened to black list my social security and file court documents under my name and social security #. Said his name was Alex Scott, his phone number is 469-718-7315 but on my caller ID it shows 315-551-5643 Syracuse, New York. I immediately phoned the police for whom I previously filed a police report with and added to the report. Furthermore, I have contacted the FTC, and the IRS and filed reports.
On 2/11/2011:
I got a call from 800-252-2107, 760-666-2107, and 714-464-8744 and all of them are scams. I have since changed my phone numbers too.
On 2/14/2011:
someone from 757-255-8591 called and said his name was Alex somebody and left a voice message. I have reported this too.

a recorded message called from 8005213236 and left a voice mail message.
