Called before 9 am; didn't leave message.

I have received calls from this number twice in the last three days. They normally call at 8:20 AM. It says local call but the Area Code is wrong.

DEFINITE SCAM!!!  I answered by phone - it was a "Fraternal Order of Police" fundraiser.  They knew my name and were very fast talking.  I am very happy to support the FOP if asked, however I do not give our or commit to an amount to anyone over the phone.  The first person said they would send something out, was getting ready to verify my address, and transferred me mid-sentence to someone else.  This person thanked me for agreeing to $15 donation - I had not committed.  When I explained to her that I would only consider a donation AFTER receiving something in the mail, she hung up on me while I was mid-sentence again.  No valid organization would have conducted themselves this way.  If you gave any of your personal information to this caller, contact the State's Attorney General's office (like I am!).

asking them to prosecute this abusive firm and put them out of business.

I don't answer but see here it is just the FOP. These guys are calling from everywhere because I got two other calls that I verified on here the other day from different numbers - one showing a Herndon or Sterling VA prefix and the other Hampton Roads.  If you believe in and really want to give to your Fraternal Order of Police, find a way to do it direct.  These guys are hired to collect on behalf of the FOP and they skim a percentage of the collections off the top.  BTW, did it bother anyone else that collections on behalf of the police had a number ending in 911?  

Think we all need to forget about the do not call list.  If I remember correctly, political and charitable organizations are exempt from the list.  Check the FTC website - it'll say on there.

We get several calls from this number throughout the day just about seven days a week.  I finally answered tonight and they asked for my husband.  They would not leave a message only saying that my husband had done some work for them in the past.

Unfortunately, The FOP is considered a charitable organization and it is exempt from the DNC registry. I've filed complaints before myself and this is what they told me. I've also told the FOP to take my number out of their system time after time. One night I even got into a fight with the telemarketer and he cussed me out. The only way to avoid this is to not answer the phone. :(

They've been calling me every day except on Thanksgiving since last week!! They call at exactly 8 am on the dot! I hate it, it's so annoying! I even tried to block it with my provider and it won't work.

They call 3 times a day and they don't leave a message. Total punks.

This is the Chesapeake Police Association looking for donations for their cops to have parties with!!!  TELL THEM TO PUT YOU ON THEIR DO NOT CALL LIST.  THEY CALLED OUR HOUSE 4 TIMES TODAY ALONE!!

P.S.  I KNOW this is the Chesapeake (VA) Police (hence the 0"911" phone number??)Association because I finally answered the call.... I did that the other night when they called and the rude man actually HUNG UP ON ME!!!!!

I also live in VA and have received calls from 757-333-0911 and it says local call on the id. This is definately NOT a local call!!

This is not a legit fund raising call.  It is a scam to get your credit card and personal information.  This number was highlighted on the local news as a complete scam.

Add me to the list.  This number was calling frequently several weeks ago and quit for a while until this morning.  Just rings 2-3 times and hangs up.

Unfortunately Charities do not fall under the do not call list.
I'm assuming they are a charity.

Called and left no message. This is not police, they are saying they are looking for donations, but it's really a scam.....

We've gotten a ton of calls to our fax machine from this number.  They then call the house number!  It's a paid marketing company, pretending to be with your states Fraternal Order of Police, or Concerns of Cops, or another law enforcement entity.  They pretend to be calling directly from the organization.  They are not representing the organization, but making money for themselves, with 20% of your donation going to the particular law enforcement chapter!  It's BS!  Tell them that you are donating directly to the organization and don't call again!
