Called and did not leave a message.

Called business cell at 3:15pm.  I had to answer as I get calls from many different area codes.  Caller asked for a person that had the cell number before it was reassigned as a business number (over 5 years ago).  When I told him that he had the wrong number, he jumped into "maybe I could help him as he was calling about disabled veterans".  I  said no I couldn't help and hung up.  I probably should have asked to have the number removed from their list, but it likely wouldn't do any good.

Same as above. Seeking donations for "disabled veterans". I answered at work and the guy asked for me by name asked if I would donate my first reaction is to donate to this type of cause since many in my family are vets but after about 3 minutes and being transferred to "quality control" and being asked questions in an oddly sketchy way I hung up. It reminded me of that recent scam where an anonymous caller asks if you can hear them etc etc.

Just received a call on my unpublished home phone. My elderly mother answered, caller said, "Hello, is Wanda there?" When she told him - no, and that he had the wrong number, he responded, "Oh ok, there is no message we'll just try again later." WTH? I called back and got voicemail for "THE FUNDRAISING CENTER" - trying to figure out how to block.

Total Scam do not give these people any money.

This and another number have called, asking for "Veronica" - one was for "disabled veterans" and another for "breast cancer". Obviously scam.

I started getting phone calls from this number for a Disabled Vet charity but I was skeptical as I wasn't sure I was speaking to an actual person.  I googled the agency and discovered it was a scam.  I eventually got the number for the Do not call list and entered my info to be removed.  The next day I received a phone call from a Breast Cancer charity that is affiliated with the Disabled Vet Charity asking for a donation.  407-376-7000 is their Do Not Call number but not sure it will do any good!

They called and asked for my 13 year old daughter, and when I said that this was her mother, may I help you, they hung up!
