I answered a call from this number. The caller ID said Cell Phone, CA. They asked for my father (who is 78 years old), I told them he was not available, then the man asked if I was his spouse. I said no. He perused and asked who I was, I told him that I was his daughter. I asked him what the call was in regards to so that I could have him call them back. The man said that it was Credit card services, I asked him with what company so that I could tell him which one I could tell him to call back. The man than asked if I took care of my father's financial affairs, I said no, but he can not call them back if he dose not know who he is calling in the first place. Instead of saying he will call back he just hung up.

I had a feeling it was a scammer targeting my father this time around. For they have been targeting me for 2 years now. Another thing that tipped me off that this could be a scam is that the caller also had a heavy foreign accent (Indian to be exact). If you call the number right back it says "You have reached number that is no longer in service."

This man called my house looking for my husband to consolidate his credit card debt.  I was suspicious because he called from a cell phone.  I asked a few questions then told him that I would be reporting him.  He said to who? The FTC?  I said yes.  He said I work for them.  There is a link to them on my website.  I then became enraged and started cursing at him and hung up on him.  The [***] called back 2 more times cursing at me.  He reckons he is coming to my house to settle our dispute.

He did the same to me, called back 6 times to say I should listen to these unwanted calls and not hang up.

You should google your name and your address.  Scammers do.  And they robocall with fake ids and number, including using real numbers.  You think it's your bank?  Phone co?  Credit card co?  If you pick up phone they know to harrass you more plus may sell you on their sucker lists for more calls.  They also call and mail solicitations.  They get into your credit reports.  Do you give your number to stores?  I'm sure data is stolen from companies and used for sales.  Don't answer it!  Block it.  I've had to block ten a week until I changed my phone number after 28 years, what a shame.  Only get a few now.  I feel sorry for the next guy that got my old number!

I received two phone calls from this number and the guy on the phone, speaking with an accent that I could not place, asked me to let him consolidate my credit cards.  I immediately searched the name and number on my caller ID and found nothing legitimate about thus company.  He said he was calling from American Services and the caller ID listed Amer SUCS.  Interesting, right?

21 July 2014 -- 9:55 am -- Caller ID said "amer svcs".  No message left.  Presume it is a spam call based on previous comments.
