Wife answered. They were looking for old people to scam with the idea of getting help to pay their medical bills etc. All they help are themselves! She thought it was auto messaging for a local weather alert. Scums use anything!  The Do Not Call list is a waste of taxpayers money to feed the legal crooks in Washington!!

 Same thing, here. Alert came up during bad weather warning. I answered, thinking it would be our call center. These people should be stopped in their tracks! Using"Alert" on caller ID? [***]!

Incredible, some of the ruses reported here!!  My call came on 5/14/14, at 12:40PM, EDT.  Which lends credence to preying on unsuspecting seniors.  Everyone else is usually on the clock, at that time.  I'm retired, but I'm not decrepit and I never answer calls I don't recognize.  "Alert" as a CID has been used too many times, too.  The scammers need to find something else.

pain relief creme scam

Caller ID displayed ALERT.  Recorded message for an alert that there was a new pain relief cream. I could push 5 to notify them to advise my physician that I didn't want the new cream. Hahahahaha. What a joke!!

that is exactly what the message said to me as well.

I get a call from this number at least 3 times a week and usually two calls back to back. Same thing pain relief cream.
