Calls come in continuously, last chance to renew my auto's warranty..so they say..Phone Spam

I answered the call but no one spoke.  I hung up.

Auto warranties scan.  I hung up because I suspected fraud.

I didn't answer, they left no message.

The standard three rings from an auto dialer, hang up, no message.  If this is an auto warranty offering, they must be looking for antique cars - ours.

Got call from 760-204-8459 on 3/17/09.  Auto warranty scam.  Pressed 1 to talk to "live" representative and told them for the third time in the past two weeks to delete my phone number.  For the third time in the past two weeks they hung up on me.

Didn't recognize the company or the number so didn't answer.

Got a call form this number on 3/31.  I did some looking.  The number is listed as being carried by a company in Los Angeles called Digitcom.  This is a toll free number front for companies to hide behind.  Their number is (310) 358-7000.  They informed me that the number is listed to another comapny in Portland Oregon called TM Caller ID, LLC.  They are another front for people to change their caller ID.

I sent them an email informing them of the abuse and threatening legal action.  If you are on the do not call lis, I know that many states have laws where you can sue the offending company.  I would encourage all of you to call or write both of these companies to complain as well as to write the Attorney General in the state of California, Oregon, and your state of residence.

I've answered these calls a few times and requested that they take my number out of their system and also informed them that we're on the DNC list. The calls continue. I recently answered and the man asked the make, model and year of my car. I said, "You called me. Shouldn't you know?" He became very rude and said he wouldn't continue the call. He didn't have a chance, I discontinued the call.
We ARE on the DNC list. What good does it do? Thank goodness for caller ID. The calls may be annoying but at least I know when NOT to answer.

When I declined the "warranty" the caller told me they were coming to pick up my car within four hours.  This is extortion!

These people have called everyday for a month now!  Stupid auto warranty bullcrap!  I'm so sick of them I don't know what to do to make them stop.  I always push 2 to remove my number from the list.

They still keep calling.

Called my business line and hung up when they realized they got a business.

My phone number is unlisted due to the security issues of my employment. I am getting phone calls constantly from this number, day and night. I get them on the home phone, on my personal cell phone and on my business cell phone, all of which are unlisted numbers. I have heard the warranty for my vehicle is up, the warranty on my newly purchased refri is up, that I am being sued and also that I am going to be contacted by the United States Government because I have committed an illegal act and should expect to hear from them if I do not press 1. Pressing 1 does not get you a person, you get yet another recording. I have also tried calling this number back and get a recording that it is out of service and the one time a real person did answer, they asked my name and Social Security Number saying that someone was using my American Express card. I do not have an American Express card. I have sent a written complaint to the Better Business Bureau, my local Congressman, my local Township Police Department and also to the Social Security Administration. Do not call this number back and if it comes up on your caller ID, do not answer it. It is a scam. They are able to access your information if you press 1 and you will then get calls on any numbers associated with whatever number they are calling on. Wishing everyone well, and please be careful. Never give out any personal information. Ignorance of the law does not make it ok and you can be charged for purchases you didn't make and the Social Security Administration will not change your SOC unless your life is in danger and you can prove it on paper. Recording this phone call will not get you anywhere because your local authorities will not take it seriously.
