Called seeking information re: income verification of my job. Possible scam calls from a different number, sent text message from that number and left a case number  and an 866 number to call.

Left a text message with the case number advising that I call for information

{FIRST AND LAST NAME(all caps)}  Case# 2026-0000000 if you have any questions, please call 1-866-558-1860

Gave first and last name with a case number. Said to call them at 866-558-1860

This is a SCAM! I reported them to the state attorney general’s office where I live, the federal trade commission and the BBB. So they are not legit. Don’t appease them.

This scammer agency sent a text with my name and a case pertaining to litigation, to my phone— with a number attached. So I called them back.

I gave them the case number on the text and they read me my Social Security number and I confirmed it was me, and then they proceeded to say that I had taken out a payday loan that I’ve never taken out.

I’ve never taken out a payday loan in my life.. Then they proceeded to resist telling me identification about them, saying that they can’t be responsible for whether or not I took out the loan, but I have to pay it. Then he states if I don’t pay it, they’re gonna report me. Lol and that I’m being sued now.

They would not give me identifying information.  I called them back repeatedly, and they kept answering the phone “civil litigations. “

Whoever these people are have stolen substantial amount of data to have my Social Security number, my phone number, so this is no doubt part of a data leak.

So, to recap, i have a scammer texting me, saying that I have a loan I never took out; threatening me if I don’t pay them back; and it’s the same guy that repeatedly will answer the phone. It’s never another voice. Same exact guy.

I called 30 times and hung up on him-he had a lady answer it one time. So, my guess is this is a husband and wife scammer.

They are definitely Americans- no foreign accents; and I think that they’re probably from the West Coast. The phone number they texted me from is 760-319-5117. They attached my name and a fake case number. And said to call 1-866-558-1860. They gave no details of the alleged loan I never took out. And I started to scream at him at that point bc I knew what he was doing. I’m so sick of this.

Got the same message, same text from number 760-319-5117 with the same call back number 866-558-1860.  Kicker is  -- the person they have listed on it has been deceased for 10 years.   Yea, gonna take that one serious.   NOT

Received a text with my name all in caps, stating they need to confirm information on a case starting with 2026-.  Stated i needed to do this before they complete the review and to contact them by August 29th at 1-866-744-6421. On the 12th I received a text from the same number, but with my husbands name in all caps stating "our records show property information associated with case 2026-xxxxxxx that requires review. And to call 1-866-609-1911.

Called me telling me that I am being sued about a pay day loan I never told out. But dod my reaearch amd found this web site saying that it os a scam

Received call stating I was the defendant regarding a Citi Bank account. Lady was very rude I spoke too, and told me Good Luck in Court!! WTH

I called and lady was very rude saying I was a defendant for a Citi Bank account?? Have no clue
