Posted an Item on Craigslist. This number texted me for info that was clearly available in the ad I posted. then they wanted to send me a check and schedule pick up of the car I was selling. The texts were very long, grammatically incorrect (but not in a traditional texting fashion), and did not correlate with what I was asking. This had Scam written all over it!!! Beware of this number!!!

I just got a lengthy text message from this person who wants me to cash a check for him.  I recognize this as a scam from my experience.  As with the above reply the text message did not correlate with what I was selling.  Scam!

I will say this again, forward all suspicious scam texts to your cell phone provider using 7726 (the code used by most cell providers). If unsure, call your provider to verify, then block and delete.
