I answered, and they hung up right away

Caller ID read JOHN MCDOMENK, 760-526-8145. When I answered I heard a recording: "Hi! This is James Roberts with LPM. I'm calling regarding your current mortgage…" That's all I needed to hear & hung up.

From the sounds of things, it is most likely a telemarketer getting by the privacy direct feature.  I was not home but the name John McDomenk with 760-526-8126 was on my phone as well.

I had that same name John Mc--- however the phone number was 760-526-8146 i think it's a mortgage telemarketer.  I also called it back and blocked my number and there was a message that said to be taken off our list leave your number.  I did not because I figured it was just an avenue to more garbage.

Got a call from, this number at 6:35pm.  It said it was a cellular call, so instead of calling it back, thinking it might be from a person I haven't heard from for awhile, I decided to google it first and see what came up.  My answering machine picked up but the other line hung up and didn't leave a message.

Got a call from this number at 8 PM Central. Nobody on the line when I answered. Caller ID said Cellular Call 760-526-8145 (SE California).

Yeah, he called me at 7:31pm this evening.

I`ve had these calls come in at least 4 times a week , usually after 3pm.

The caller machine uses a female voice to announce itself as " Nass Collections of Canada trying to collect a debt " never leaves a number , and hangs up.

I Googled the name , 230,000 entries , none match.  I don`t owe anyone in Canada any money , so it must be some kind of phone data scam.

I called the number back , got a recorded message about removing my number from their system , and they still call.

Same thing just happened to me, only when I tried calling the number back it asked me to punch my own telephone number in order to be removed from their calling list (yeah, like I was really going to do that).  Instead I left a voice mail message specifically telling them not to call back again.  

PS,  I heard on the news the other day that it has been 4 years since the "Do Not Call" registery came out.  Even if you intially signed up, apparently it expires after 4 years so you have to re-register.  Kind of makes me wonder if that's why I've been getting a recent "surge" of unsolicted phone calls lately.  I'm pretty sure signed up right when this option became available so it probably was right around four years ago.

I believe you're dealing with a boiler room here.  The numbers we're getting are 760-526-.....  Reported here are 8136 and 8145, and I've just gotten a call from 8130.  This suggests a bank of numbers, probably 100 of them.  While a singular out-of-area number might be worth the cost, a whole bank of them would probably not be.  So this boiler room is somewhere in the 760 area.  It used to be that the prefix would pinpoint the city, but nowadays there's no guarantee since now a block of numbers with a given prefix can be put in any central office in the area code with only a minor bit of finagling.  And the regulatory environment now permits it.  ***  As to time, I don't know.  My display globe has a record of the Caller ID info, but not the time of the call.  I believe it was some time between 7:30 and 8:30 PM, PDT.

got a call from 760-526-8145 a couple of times this month  i never answered displayed cellular call. never left a message.

I got a call, I did not answer, at 1pm MST.  I wasted a few cents, but worse yet my time to call them back (blocking my number with *67 prefix) and I got a recording saying "We respect your [request] to be removed from our contact data base.  Please enter you number after the tone".  I did not because of the comments by the others saying it may spark a rash of more calls.

I keep getting calls from this number.  Its a collection agency and they just leave a message

It isn't just 760
I have received them from 408, 213, and 916 also. It is the same auto warranty thing.

804-303-5416 about same auto message to reminder me about car warrenty was expired. It's unwanted calls, how do I stop them to call>

I am getting unsolicted calls -4 in fact from the same warranty place, plus my mom got 2 on hers, and we both have tracfone. The number is 702-520-1466. When I finally had enough I waited to speak to someone but before I could find out the company's name so I could harrass them they hung up. I put both our numbers on the do not call list but I still am getting calls and it's costing us minutes.

I get a phone call every day at around 10:15am and then again around 2:00pm, eastern standard time.  I've seen a couple different numbers pop up, but the latest one was
1-760-526-8153.  The number is always 1-760-526-**53.
This is annoying.

Now they have "Satellite Serv" on the caller ID (I guess they're not selling loans anymore).

I got a call from this number at 2:00AM! Hung up before I could answer.

This came on a spare line that has turned out to be my spam line. 99.99% of the calls are from various folks stating some compamy name.  It is a recording but wants to sound like they are right there on the line.  They also sound very casual "Hi! (no mention of my name), Uh, I'm calling to talk to you about your excessive credit card balance.  We have a way to help you out with that if you call ____.  Thanks and have a good day!"

I haven't had a credit card for years - I cured myself of those a long time ago - LOL!!!
