This phone number is linked to a scam. Do not listen to the person on the other end as they are very persuading. They state they are with the U.S. Dept. of Treasury and you owe back taxes. They have you get a cashier's check and deposit it into a bank account. Once the check is deposited there is no way to get your money back.

Ignore the call. It is a scam. They will threaten to arrest you if you don't pay them. That is not how our government works.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
