I received a call 02-06-2018 from 770-308-4228 around 10:00 AM. When I looked at the phone screen it actually read in big letters "Likely Scam" so of course I did not answer it. When I looked on my call list it read from Georgia. I googled the number and it brought me here. They must seriously be desperate.  Good information you provided for anyone who needs it.

My phone noted it as "scam likely" also. Once these people have left a message (which is rare) for a credit card that I paid off and closed years ago after a home refinancing. Guess that doesn't matter.

Portfolio from yet another number. I have blocked many numbers from them. They keep calling. They have called my family members. I m getting tired of this harassment.

PRA Criminals Ive already reported you to the Texas Attorney General. Adding this number to the complaint.  Scum sucker druggies can't get real jobs! No debt for you to be harrassing about MFs.

They called, and mrnumber blocked the call.. Of course it's Portfolio Recovery as I'm finding out...  I do have a debt that was just assigned to them.  I'll be going in to surgery next week, but talking to them previously, they could care less.. They are really tough on the phone, while they hide at their home or in Portfolios offices, but in person, you can bet that each one of Portfolios collectors wouldn't be able to go toe to toe.   Portfolio is a sinful company. As a Christian, I know that just being associated with, working for, or supporting Portfolio in any way means, the people associated with them in any way, are going straight to...... well, you know...   It's so hard to believe that a company got so big and is worth so much because people are in crisis... It's shameful.  May God not have abt mercy on any of their souls.

Just an additional note, calling on weekends and holidays is against the law.  Today is a Federal Holiday..  I see another class action lawsuit against Portfolio could and should be in order...

RECEIVE CALLS MORE THAN ONCE A DAY. I don't answer. I disabled my voice mail. They still call. I have the type of phone that charges per call so I still get charged..AGGRAVATING!

They call me while I'm at work on more than one occasion (on both my mobile and office numbers), and they almost never leave a message on my voicemail...it's about a credit card I haven't had in a decade (which I likely paid off five years ago). I sent the Better Business Bureau a complaint about them recently.

Called my dedicated fax machine three times now, each time from a different number. I couldn't answer even if I wanted to, which I wouldn't. My fax machine is a stand alone machine with no handset to make or receive calls, just faxes. Funny. I actually haven'y used the machine nor the number associated with it for years. And for the record, I have NO debt...

I got same call and I didn't get no message. I know it must be a scammer. Do not answer numbers that I do not know.
Also you can put a prescreen message for your incoming calls say I am screening all call leave your name I will return your call.
