All of our clients  are prominent, well known businesses. Your account was placed here because you blatantly ignored their  attempts. When they hired numerous collection agencies. You had no intentions on  repaying them. You are placed here for a reason.

Mediation is just a term scammers use and never "mediate" anything.  Saying "pay now or else" is not mediating.
I found listed  as Lou Spear & Associates, LLC for this number and even found one as a fax  for "Away Trac Tech."

Lou Spear was Administratively Dissolved on 8/26/19.  Fairview Mediations Group is using an UPS store 13 miles away from Lou Spears address.  They are not registered with the state and therefore cannot legally conduct business.

    I thought they sounded familiar.

You will need to send them a certified, return receipt debt validation (by law they have to go back to the original creditor to prove you owe the debt), cease and desist calling, or "not me" letter (this will be the best money that you have ever invested).  Also send it first class mail in case no one will sign for it.  Make a notation of that fact at the bottom of the letter.  You also need to report them to the proper agencies to which I have provided links to.  Then you need to go out and get a consumer lawyer to sue them on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket) and let them pay you for the harassment.  If everyone did these three things, these crooks would be bankrupt, and we would all be the richer for it.  Use these web sites to find an attorney in your state that will probably take the case on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket up front):  http://www.consumeradvocates.org/

Everything else you need to know follows including at least two or more federal and state agencies where you should report their criminal activities.

It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and (this is the important part) that they have the legal right to collect it.  You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid.

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.  If and when you get that letter you should immediately send that debt validation letter by certified, return receipt mail.

First, you should make a complaint at this Federal Agency, and while there you should also read up on how debt collection is supposed to work as well as what your rights in this matter are: https://www.consumerfinance.gov/

Also file complaints with the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/#crnt&panel1-1

Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.

I got a call from this number this morning, simultaneously my husband did also...then, they called a friend of my childs!!! Saying in all calls that i had given that number out as a way to reach me.  They are using a name I haven't been in over 15 years and calling from a state I haven't lived in in over 20 years. I absolutely do not have any reason to be contacted by a debt collector, and since it's not my legal name, even if it was actually my debt, it would be way past the statute if limitations to collect.

The guy was hard to understand at times, but he was apparently calling in regards to a "legal matter" and mentioned a particular casefile. The call is from Georgia and I'm living in California. I have no connections whatsoever in Georgia. This has to be a scam.

Representative Stacy Clark called me this morning and said she was contacting me in reference to pending allegations that have been attached to my name and social security number for civil complaint to be filed against me for a bank I've never heard of from 2014. In 2014 I was recuperating from stage 3 cancer treatments and didn't even live in the state of Georgia where I currently reside. Stacy said in order to keep from having a warrant issued in my arrest, I could pay the balance due today if $2,300 . I told her I wasn't paying anything for a credit card I never had!! I immediately hung up and called a friend of mine who is a detective for the Georgia Secretary of State's office. She said that this is a scam! What's scary is the fact that they had my name, the last four digits of my social security number, and they have my address.

Got an odd call about a credit card bill that's past due by 2 years. I immediately looked online at all 3 credit bureaus and there are no negative marks on my credit whatsoever. My credit score is 836. Can't have an 836 with something in collections. These people are scammers. The person I spoke with was an African-American. You would think they'd have better things to do than con people. Get a real job, bunch of thug trash losers!!

While catching up on voicemails I too listened to a vaguely threatening pitch from "Stacy Clark"; I didn't pay much attention as I have no overdue debts, but it was generally the same language as from the above complaints. If I should answer a call from them, I will advise that any further communication will bring a harassment suit.

Since there is no tort called "harassment" then you won't be bringing that suit.  Everything else that you need to know was already posted including what laws you could bring a suit under.  Reading=Learning.  You should try it sometime.
