Received likely scam text message today from this number, beware! This is highly likely a scam as it's now asking for "donations" that are "500% matched" (yeah, right, and I have a bridge to sell you). The telltale is the real site domain name for ForwardBlue ends in ".org". These scam text messages use ".us" in the link.

Total Scam--Asks "polling questions" leaning towards one political party then asks for donations at the end.  They get upset when you don't donate.  I let them know that they were trying my patience. They responded by "Sorry, this service is temporarily unavailable. "  LOL! How convenient!!

No one here can or will make a report for you.  Political calls/texts are completely legal but if you want to make a report do it yourself and don't be so lazy.

Thoroughly annoyed to receive unsolicited text messages from this number asking me to confirm something I've never said in my life, nor would I. Especially now that her campaign is texting me when I'd rather they didn't.

    Text reads:

Presidential Straw Poll: Can you please confirm you're voting for Kamala D. Harris?

Simply, this web domain belongs to an IT company that sells/rents tools (including this domain) to Democratic political campaigns, so they can (among other things) ask you to donate money to them.

Following the link will take you to a act.forwardblue.net "Kamala Harris Voter Poll" page which asks which of the two main candidates you will vote for in November.  (It also requires you to input your email address.)
If you answer the question it will take you to an actblue.com webpage with more questions about policy (D candidate answer) or a page asking you to think about supporting the Democrats (R candidate answer).

So, are these texts a scam?  Most likely no, but your perception may depend on how you feel about political fundraising campaigns overall and who you support.

My suspicion began when I was directed to a link and actually couldn't finish the poll without contributing.  I didn't feel comfortable contributing in that manner, or their pay platforms.  Last night I received a text saying they'd contacted my 7 times and I've never completed a poll, ending with an angry face emoji.  The angry face doesn't match the Harris ~Walz brand.  I replied EndtoEnd and added that I didn't think I was "obligated" to contribute, and that it's only been 4 times.  I wouldn't trust this even if it is IT based.  Evidently they can't count!

But, you have to remember that Harris and Walz do not personally oversee their campaigns, no politician does (except at the lowest grassroots levels).  They have a "campaign committee" to do that work for them and it, in turn, contracts various businesses to do the work they need done (such as fundraising and poll taking).  Politicians do not care about how this gets done, as long as it gets done and no laws are broken (well, at least none that can be connected directly to them).
These fundraisers have probably been directed to be assertive and persistent in getting people to contribute, and they think this angry face may be a way to taunt people into responding.

Personally, my policy is not to contribute to any political candidate, as I believe it only encourages them.
