this number came up about 2 hours ago on my phone and had a caller ID of 'Name Unavailable'. Picked up the phone and it immediately hung up from the called number..

signed up with explore talent and got the same call within a couple of minutes, hung up and they called immediatly again.  no one was there.

It's from Explore Talent that's the common link with all the responses doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this one out

Right, but why and what is this tactic about?

I was just filling out the information on Explore Talent website. I wasn't even done...I had just finished with my phone number when my cell phone started ringing with the number 771 777-7777. I had when I get calls and answer and no one is there. I thought it was odd so I googled the number and saw that many people get this when signing up for Explore Talent. Some site's say beware it's a scam. Not sure though either way they really need to disclose the fact they will call you from this number. Something really should be done about this.

Hey I did the same the talent agency Explore Talent... and got the cal seconds later... No word just hung up... its got to be a gimmick ... they offer free help and then want you to upgrade to pro for a fee...

k duh it's linked to them. but have you ever thought that maybe they've been hacked and it's not them at all?

I signed up with Explore Talent and got a call almost immediately after I submitted my info.  What to do?

Got a call today. My stepdaughter registered at Exploretalent (with my approval) and gave them my cell number. I answered because of the wierd number, no reply. If you Google "Chicago modeling" they come up very high so I thought they were probably on the up and up. As one of the other posters says,  this may be a way for them to verify the number being real. If so, it's not a very good idea.

Same here it happen to me don't apply with them it is attached to that  site cause it happen to me too !!!

it happend to me to soon as i signed up for the talent thing

when i signed up for explore talent my security blocked a virus from that site and right after is when i recieved the call

I got a call in the middle of signing up for the talent thing , & i didnt even give them my number , i tried calling back and the number wasnt in service .

Got a call from the following number 771-777-7777.  It was shortly after looking at an audition site.  Not sure who the company or person calling.

Got the call from 771-777-7777.  No message left.  I did NOT sign up with Explore Talent or whatever they're called.  I've had a cell phone since 1996 and I have NEVER received an unwanted telemarketer call.  I have a feeling it might be from a payday loan center I checked out out of curiosity and they might have sold my phone number.

they are just verifying that you provided a valid phone number in case they need to contact you.
