National do-not-call list (and other similar lists) don't work.  Overseas companies get copies of the do-not-call registry list and they aren't prohibited by law to call you.  Whatever you do, NEVER EVER answer a call from a number you do not know.  My friend's dad worked for the phone company for over 40 years and he was getting calls from suspicious numbers (000-000-0000 or similar).  The (overseas) company that called him slammed his phone bill for a total of around $1500 for all sorts of services he never ordered; didn't even talk to anyone on the other line.  Just be careful and screen calls that you don't know.

I'm getting a call from 772 236 3220.  I am reading that it is a scam and would like them shut down.

have been receiving constant calls from this number asking for "jim" and there is NO Jim at this address

im tired of this number calling everyday and noone says anything

First time I've gotten calls from them. Got calls today (7/7/11) at these times today for a total of 10 calls and caller ID says unknown name. Call times: 9:00am, 9:19am, 9:25am, 10:47am, 7:06pm, 7:28pm, 7:50pm, 8:12pm, 8:33pm 8:39pm. My answering machine with the OEM default greeting picks up every call.

As others have suggested, I believe this is an automated system used to better determine when we would be at home, and therefore available for a followup solication call. I will not answer these ridiculous calls nor add bait for telemarketers. As a side note, I believe my info was obtained from recently filling out a survey I shouldn't have - it was one of those that was shamelessly filled with advertising.

I, received a call from that number 1-772-236-3220 yesterday evening, they called in here about 3 times!
I had blocked them as part of my tool phone package I have with Cox & it worked once but a half in hour
later phone rang its them calling! now, how can they seem to get threw to a BLOCKED NUMBER?
Told that lady who doesn't speak english to well, GRANTS ARE NOT FOR FREE!! she replied what do you mean not free??(she's playing dumb with me!)usually you have to pay $29.95 for getting a free Grant book that lets you find these grants. Wekk, I am offering this to you for $4.95 I got my temper up & SAID" GET this nothing for FREE she hung up on me!
3rd time; was this man speaking partical english, I said Look, you call this number here I will get the police on your behind!! this is invading a person's privacy especially when they are able to get threw to
the unblocking stuff (after I blocked them!! so, he hung UP!!!! Never heard from them again.

they call at all hours and offer business grants and say they need my bank account information. please stop them this must  be illegal.

This number calls me at least 5 to 10 times a day. When I answer or call back no one is there!!!

Calls constantly every half hour.

Got around 10 unsolicited calls from this number today. I finally picked up on the 9th, call. No one responded. Therefore, I called them back. Initially I got a recorded message stating; that they were some sort of "grant" organization. I remained on the line until a female with an accent came on the line. She immediately went into a dialogue about financial aid and grants. I interupted her, asked her for her name and ID #, to which she responded "Samantha Lopez; ID # 060888". I informed her that I am not interested in anything her company had to offer, and that the phone calls MUST STOP Immediately.I told her that as an Assistant District Attorney, I can make her's, and the life of her employer very unpleasant; at which she responded; "OK, you will not get any more calls.

Well, not even five minutes went by before the phone rang again. When I answered, I got no response. Therefore, I called them back. This time a woman speaking with an accent came on the line. I demanded to know her name, to which she responded; A'la Kintala. I told her to put Samantha Lopez on the line, and she did. Well, it seems that Mrs. Lopez has a very short memory, for, when I identified myself, she proceeded to tell me that I "have to be patient, it can take up to 24 hours to get a response on your application." Well, the momory came rushing back once I informed her that I will be initiating legal preceedings against her and her employer in the morning. Seems no one told Mrs. Lopez that her actions constitute harrasment; making excessive, unsolicited phone calls to my home after 10PM, despite my complaint and clear instructions for them to cease such calls.

Well, it's been 45 minutes, and the phone has not rang. That changes nothing; I'll be filing the complaint in the morning.

I think we should all file lawsuits im in ca and i found out i can take them to court sue them for 500 dollars and if you can prove they knowingly keep calling u can triple the money i found out from the fcc that u can do this by calling filing a complaint with attorney generals office i am also printing up comments from other sites as well as this one because some revieved death threats from this company. I got a call

They called me left voicemail  "goodbye", then another one with a beep with awful background noise, then finally i picked up the phone  a man with accent called my name, said Hi Ani how are u? We are offering free grant for your American fund, I asked him where he was calling from, he hung, I wonder how they did get our phone numbers, info, names

We keep getting a call from this number. Who is it and what do they want.

Called me 4 times just today, and calls me all hours of the night.. just recent call  920PM

These people have called me 8 times in 6 hours!!! I told them 3 times to stop calling that I know they are bogus!!! I swear I cannot see a minute of peace... these people are nuts, they hang up when i say quit calling. UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
