It was an automated call from Cook County Jail asking for me to accept charges. I sent the call to voicemail and it left an automated message.

I received a call this afternoon from this number talking about an inmate and asking to accept charges.

Cook county jail calling about an inmate. I do not know anyone there or traveling there recently it’s a scam %100

Yes, we know because you reported that it was an inmate call back in March so once again spamming threads? We can see that your promise not to do it anymore was just a bunch of hooey!

There were two different "L's" that posted. I know because I was one of them. I saw a previous post by a different person. I don't see that post now. But I posted twice- also don't see my second post. I thought the call was legit from the jail, but I got another one today from that number without the cook county jail message. This time it said "call can't be completed as dialed." But I still got a follow up call about setting up payment to receive calls from the jail!

I want to recieve calls from this number.

Then simply call them and ask them to have different people call you, until you find that special someone you want to talk to.  :)

I got another call from that number just now and I accepted the 1 minute free call. It named the inmate and It did indeed sound like someone at cook co jail, but they said they must have dialed the wrong number. Weird. Your wish may come true, Kenneth Hallenborg.

Got a obvious scam call claiming from the cook county jail. Went to voicemail. Something about my dad needed money on his card. He has been dead since I was 6.

I keep getting theses calls thankfully I have set them as spam. I have no idea as to why I'm receiving these calls. Has to be a scam.

Received scam call saying I had a call from inmate from cook county jail of someone I knew. A scam !!! Beware !
