Costco Earpods receipt code raffle winner scam. Text was addressed to my father or brother (they have the same name), but I got it instead.

Unrecognized number. EarPods scam text message.

Also used same text with (646) 241-5239

I received a text saying that my phone is receiving too many spam texts. It says that I can clear them by clicking onto the link provided. That's totally funny. A scammer telling me that my phone is receiving too many spam texts. I'm not falling for that one. Delete.

Text message: Costco: Alfredo, your code 43341 printed on your receipt from 28 came in 1st in our Airpods draw:

Gee, this "Costco" scam is devolving.  They used to offer a fictional iPhone and now they are down to mere EarPods/AirPods.

Forward unwanted spam/scam texts to 7726 (SPAM) and let your phone service provider deal with them.
That number was set up by the phone companies to combat spam texts and they can shutdown offending phone numbers.
Never reply with "STOP", scammers will not honor the request (they have no honor to begin with) and it only verifies that they have texted to a valid number and a person who reads their texts.  It will not STOP the texts and may actually make them more frequent.
Never click on a link in such a text as it may cause malware to be inserted on your phone, and even if it does not, just as with replying "STOP" the scammers will know they reached a valid number.

🤣🤣🤣🤣 yes, I have received the same text several times. Don’t recall the number.  I generally ignore them. Don’t even open up to read the whole text

Received a text regarding a refund of $681.25 from an insurance policy..  don’t know more, as I didn’t open the text to read
