Same message as everyone else got here on the board. I have a MA number. Don't bother contacting these people -- it's obviously the same stupid timeshare selling tech they used to do by mail..

Got the same message today from 733-358-1470.  If you use a VoIP / Internet  phone system (such as the one made by OOMA -- you can get these from Costco), you can block a caller's number from any future calls.  Also, if you call your cell phone carrier, they will block tele #'s (at least Verizon does).

We received a call from this number claiming we'd won a prize (a car, a trip, or a TV), we only needed to sit through a 90 minute presentation (undoubtedly a high-pressure sales pitch). They also claimed we'd entered to win in the last 12-18 months, which is a complete lie since my wife and I NEVER participate in contests or giveaways like that. After some research online, I discovered that they are a deceitful marketing company called Mitchell's Communications Group, based in Illinois. This blog post from another victim is extremely telling: http://blog.kamens.us/2010/08/06/scam-call-from-mitchell-communications-group

This is a follow up to a number that I previously reported. (See https://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-773-891-5629)

I received a call today from Paul (same person I spoke with on 11/12).  Today’s call was from 773-358-1470 with a caller ID of Illinois.  He asked me if I went to the presentation for World Class Travel.  I told him no and he asked why.  I told him that if I had indeed “won” anything I would not have to jump through hoops and sit through 90 minutes of sales pitch.  I wasn’t interested in joining a “travel club”.  He tried to tell me that this was not the case.  I suggested that this was all a scam and that “Vandell Communications” didn’t really exist.  Here’s the best part; Paul asks, “Are you a God-fearing person?”  I said, “No, I’m an atheist.”  End of conversation.  Paul say, “May God bless you, have a good day”, and hangs up.

I Googled 773-358-1470 and found that a number of people have reported this number as “Mitchell Communications”.  I also found a website, http://www.mitchellcommunicationgroupllc.com, the web site is one page with a picture of the Chicago skyline saying that they are “Faithful Marketing, LLC”.  So it seems that this company has a number of aliases.

I got my call today, I got some guy, he gave the name of my little sister as the person who entered the contest, being she is 15, I some how doubted this. So I promptly said "Sorry we do not deal with scammers." and hung up. Funny thing HE CALLED ME BACK!!! Saying he was doing me a favor and that she would be upset with me and that she can call HIM back.

I love getting these kinds of calls because I always know they are SCAM.   The only reason I know this is because they call my landline number and that is listed under my dog's  name and they always ask for him.   I usually start to chuckle and the voice on the other end is wondering why I'm chucking and I just try to do the best I can and say sorry but the person you are asking for is my dog and I'm sorry he can't speak.  They usually get a little ticked off but than it's my turn to get mad.   The whole time they're talking to me they keep telling me it's not a scam but yet they don't know what to say after they ask for my dog by name...LOL

Yeap. Got the same call just like everybody else here. 1-773-358-1470 from Mitchell Comm and Vandell Com Gr. I think they are just wanting to sell some kind of airfares. It's for a 90 minute meeting that you have to attend and then they give you the prize, which I think it's all a lot of lies.

Well they must have been down here (FL.) for the winter, called me too with the same song and dance. I could tell what was going on so I told them to fax me the conditions statement that had the confirmation number on it. (You would really get a kick out of that piece of paper). They called me again on the day I was supposed to go there, and I told them I thought that their conditions stunk and that it was a very bad joke, and not to call me anymore.

You know, I received the same phone call as everyone above.  I understand everyone being sceptic, but I have to ask, has anyone even looked into this personally? It sounds more like a bunch of paranoid, ignorant people......I want to hear facts not just someone said over the phone.
