I live in NYC.  I too got this call on my cell phone, twice.  The first time was between Christmas and New Year (I didn't make a note of the day), and I just got a second call today, January 5th in the early afternoon.  Each time I tried calling back and got an announcement from the phone company that the number has been disconnected.  My question is, how can outgoing calls be made on a number that has been disconnected?

Received a call from 773-549-3987 twice:

Each time I called back, the woman's voice from the phone company stated that the number had been disconnected.

This number called me during class, so I ignored it. After school I tried to call the number and it just didn't go through it kept saying the call failed so I gave up and came home to look the number up on google. It came up with that Anthony guy... Weird...

I'm lucky I found this forum. That way I ddont worry about spam calls. How did 773-549-3987 even get NY phone #s? Did all the users have tmobile? Maybe its just a tmobile rep playing a prank? At least I didn't pick up :/

Hello I just received the call and I'm in Upstate New York. It was a missed call on me cell. I'm going to turn the information over to the police. Mr.Galea is probably ripping a lot of innocent pleople off, especially the elderly.

i've been getting calls from long distance numbers here is one of the numbers. I don't answer but its the same number these people have been complaining about as well.

I live in Virginia, but I received a call from the same number. I wasn't at home, so I checked the internet White Pages because I didn't recognize it. I was really surprised to discover this site.

I was just wondering if anyone received their call after placing an online or fax order that involved someone in the Chicago area. I just find it a bit of a coincidence that I got this call after I sent flowers to a relative there.

I got the same call from this number I didn't answer it and when i called back it said it was disconnected.

Called my cell but I did not answer.

This is one of the "Your Automobile Warranty has expired" calls - Ignore calls from this number, the company is nothing but a bunch of scumbags that take your money.

recieved this this phone number on my missed phone call log. as well as 800-219-7425

I got TWO phone calls from this number! One on the 30th last month and one yesterday! I didn't pick up either time because I didn't recgonize the number, and I looked it up on google and it brought me here! I'm not registered for NY, I'm in Virginia, but I still got the call. I'd also like to turn in this number because there's pretty reasonable evidence that this person is a scammer/ phisher.
