I just received a call from that number also. Caller ID displayed "Pal Chicago CHA".
I didn't answer and no message was left.

Good news -- it wasn't a Robocall.  
Bad news -- I don't know who it was.  It was an older gentleman asking, "Is this the (blank) residence?"  

Probably a charitable call of some kind.  I didn't have the heart to yell at him, nor did I have the patience to hear any more, so I just hung up.  Chicken.

I saw someone said that "Pal Chicago CHA" showed up in their caller ID. We received a similar number as well as this one recently. Pal Chicago seems to be affiliated with "Gloves not guns" and a few of the caller id's we had from a few weeks back said "glove not guns" in the display. I'm guessing it's just another one of their many number. Gloves not guns is the police charity that promotes boxing for youths to help them stay off the streets  and out of trouble. If you want to donate to them do it directly through your local area group since many times boilerrooms take a significant cut of the "take" when you donate via phone.

This is a call from a boiler room that operates a number of phony "charities" that have the word "police" or "fire" in the name.
None of them have an IRS 501(c)3 designation.
If you are foolish enough to give them any money, you will get a receipt that states in very tiny print on the bottom that they aren't a charitable organization & any money left over after the fundraisers are paid will go to a party for, well I'm not sure who.
When I see any of these names pop up on Caller ID, I answer by saying "Oh, it's you thieves again"
The man on the other end & it's always a man usually swears at me & hangs up.
I get a laugh out of them now. I found out about them when years ago, my elderly father gave them a few bucks & I saw the receipts they mailed him.
I suggest you also answer the same way, it will drive them batty!

I guess they had called me before and at that time I looked them up and found out that they were scammers because they were already in my phone's address book under SCAM.

I was in a zany mood, so I answered it and said, "Hello, scammers?"  The guy was a bit flustered because he didn't understand me, I guess.  So then I said like a kid, "Hello, who is this?"  He said his name and said he was calling from something like PAI, the police athletic ...

I laughed out loud and again said, "Scammer!" and hung up.  Frankly I am surprised he did not call me back right away to cuss me out.  Guess I will report them now to www.donotcall.gov.

The sleazes!  Thanks for looking into this.

Scammers and jerks.  How do we put them out of business?  They never stop.

I keep getting hang up calls from this number

I received a call also from this number, i didnt answer it and no message of some sort was left on my answering machine...

caller id said "Not in service".  no msg was left.
