    This might be a merchant services company trying to plant the seed in your head to accept credit cards by acting like they are just some random person who will only do business with you if you will accept credit cards.  The call went like this:  "Do you accept credit cards?"  I said no, and they said "I'm sorry for wasting your time," and hung up.  I tried calling them back to say that I do take Paypal (which I only use if my clients leave town without leaving a check), and the number was not valid.  The machine said "this number is not in service."  I know I called the right number back because I just returned the call on my cell phone caller ID, and I tried it several times.  Credit card processing is not customary in my line of work so a call like this from a real potential client is unlikely.

    Very rude Indian sounding man calls to speak with owner- cold calling- sales for Credit Card merchant services related no doubt. then threatens to report MY customer services skills without even knowing who I am!! what an idiotic jobsworth, obviously has delusions of grandeur for his pathetic minimum wage call center job

    this # 775-636--7496 this rude [***] trying to sell a merchant account i refused and she stated im not a biz man ... i tried to call # back to give mt 2 cents!!! # no good ... thats a shocker!!!

    The gal called asking for an Owner that hasn't been here for over a year. This is how it went:
    Jessica Miller: Hi, is (previous owner's name) in?
    Me: What is this call regarding?
    Jessica Miller: Merchant Services
    Me: What about Merchant Services?
    Jessica Miller: Can i just speak with (previous owner)?
    Me: No - he is no longer at this number.
    Jessica Miller: Can I get his new number?
    Me: No - he is no longer with this company whatsoever
    Jessica Miller: Can you just give me his new number?
    Me: No.
    Jessica Miller: Then can I speak to a new owner?
    Me: What is this regarding?
    Jessica Miller: Merchant Service.
    Me: What about Merchant Services? We are not looking to switch our company's Merchant Account.
    Jessica Miller: I'm not asking that. I want to send you information about savings.
    Me: What kind of savings.
    Jessica Miller: Savings about Merchant Services.
    Me: I'm done. Bye *hang up*

    .... a minute later she calls back.
    Jessica Miller: I just want to say you're very unprofessional and rude. *hangs up*

    Woman from this number calls multiple times per week asking for the owner, who is always at lunch when she calls. I have told her repeatedly I can hear other telemarketers in the background, and we are not interested. Last conversation went like this:

    Her: Is the owner there?
    Me: No he is not, may I take a message?
    Her: I am calling to set up a meeting with him for Monday.
    Me: Who are you?
    Her: Merchant Services
    Me: And what is this in regards to?
    Her: I need to know if he will be in on Monday?
    Me: If you are not going to tell me who you are or why you're calling, I am not going to give you his schedule or set up any meetings. Did he contact you?
    Her: No, I'm trying to contact him.
    Me: I gathered that since you called me, but if you're going to continue to be vague, I cannot help you.
    Her: Thanks have a good day.
