Got the exact same message as Mitch said above. I'm guessing they got it off my email account. Gotta love spam!

dudes same here, northern california, said hey, used my first name, havent heard from you in a while, i replied hey man or woman, whose this?no reply for 2 days, i sent it again, who is this? they replied if you want to find out, add me on yahoo!mssngr. i said ur scamming me, than looked the number up on the internet and all i could find was the name erica

"She" i guess called me with the "txtiechick553" monkier. The only place i'm called that with a phone number there is Facebook. Do you guys have Facebook accounts? If so you now know where the hacker is getting their info.

Had a little fun with this one..  Wife got a text started with "Hola Cristina."  I fired back a txt with "this isn't Cristina's cell phone anymore" got the generic reply " LOL if you want to know who this is you got to add me on yahoo mesnger.  My id is tstiegirl621."   I figured what the hell being a skip tracer and fraud investigator I set up a bait messenger acct.  Added the id as a friend got a mssg back about 2 hours later. with casual convo about talking to a freak.  eventually i was able to get a link out of it "http://txtgirlcrush.info/txtgirl\"  takes you to a webcam site where you can talk to and see live amateur nude and porn stars.  website is slicecamcrush.com.  So it is indeed a scam..  Just thought you all should know cuz if your kid has a cell phone most likely they can get this text too..

I have gotten a text message saying my first name, which I replied with "who is this and how did you get this number", which was then responded with "do you use yahoo messenger? cause im me my username is txtiechick38". I live in Canada, and dont know anyone from the States

Yeah i got this message to 3 times saying hey sexy (or another complement word like that) i saw your pictures on facebook and they turn me on add me o. Yahoo messenger so we can chat my name is (abantekenzie,halitositiffany,uristchristina) are there names and the only funn thing you get from this is tricking there system like haveing them repeat your name or a word or asking questions the cant understand o y use for this service
