This number has called me 4 times this week and I finally answered. She, Nicole Johnson, claims to be calling on behalf of my bank offering me a credit score report, first three months are free then the following months you will be charged $19 and some change plus taxes and service fees to you bank credit card. I told her it sounded sketchy and she said that I can contact my bank and they will confirm that it is legit. I told her I would be doing that before confirming anything with her....she paused (I thought she hung up) then replied with "okay bye". I called my bank and they confirmed that it was not one of their numbers. They gave me a number to call to report fraudulent phone calls, 1-888-495-8501

The calls started on the 18th (6:30 PM) for me. First call I answered as I was expecting a call from someone else. I don't recall his name but he said he was calling on behalf of RBC. He was promoting Credit Alert with free access to my credit report. As I am familiar with the product I told him I am not interested. He seemed very persistent in explaining the product and said he will call back. The number has shown up on my call display everyday this week. It rang again as I was walking in the door. Without thinking I answered the phone. As the number is an Unknown Name I told him I do not do business over the phone with a blocked name.

    Sandy
This number has called numerous times, sometimes twice a day. I answer, but do not say a word, waiting to see if anyone speaks.
It is the type of system that when you speak, the call goes through to a person. If you say nothing the line will disconnect a few seconds after you have answered. Today they called two times. I answered the second call, I said "what" and sure enough a male came on asking
if I was Sandy. I asked who was calling and he said Stephen Baker and he represented RBC. I told him to stop calling, and that they had called every day this week (Mon - Fri) that it was harassment, and I would report the number to Telus and to the police. I hung up on him.

caller said he was from the Canadian Association of retired persons offering me a free year subscription to magazine and discounts  . Was polite. Wanted the correct spelling of my name only. Offering something for free spooked me.
