- Vancouver office| 1 replyAsked for person who looks after the BC Hydro bill. Inferred that this was related to BC Hydro. Very pleasant and polite man, but was a little pushy about talking with someone about BC Hydro. Asked to take a message and he said that because it is only an outgoing line he couldn't give his number for us to call back. I called the number on the screen and it was a voicemail for "Cedar Research".
You know... why call me and demand to speak with someone when you don't allow for anyone to be able to call YOU? Unless there is a reciprocal way of getting in touch we aren't interested in addressing these calls.
I hope this information is helpful to someone!- Caller: Michael from BC Hydro

- PebblesGot a call from this number - said they were from TNS on behalf of BC Hydro. They are doing a survey and want to speak with someone who deals with BC Hydro. Since that isn't really in anyones' job description I asked for a call-back number so I can find out who they should deal with. This is an outgoing line only and cannot receive calls. The woman politely but rather firmly kept pushing to get an answer on who and when to call.
I agree with "Vancouver Office"... if you call our number we should be able to call yours, too! If they cannot receive calls we won't be dealing with trying to help them out in future.
Our office is in Burnaby.- Caller: TNS on behalf of BC Hydro

- TTGBC Hydro survey. The guy was nice enough, but he spoke very fast and he said some words strangely so it was hard to understand him. I could also hear a child screaming in the back ground.

- WhoCaresUtility service providers conduct these annoying telephone surveys in order to substantiate to the Utility Regulators their reason's for rate increases. The more positive feedback the utility service provider receives, the greater the chances are the utility service provider will receive their requested rate increase, or portion thereof. And these rate increases are backdated to the date the rate increase petition is presented to the Utility Regulators.
So in this case, should people want to pay higher hydro rates, just go along with their survey, and give positive answers to their silly questions, and watch the hydro rates go up!!!- Caller: TNS for BC Hydro

- Tom replies to RobertAgree, these callers are super annoying and not worth our time, but just how in the heck was the caller supposed to know that your baby was sleeping?? Duh.
- RamblerReceived this call at around dinner time today, didn't recognized the number on our call display and it wasn't one of our blocked call so I picked it up after the second ring and didn't say a word waiting for someone on the other end to talk first knowing it was probably a computer generated call waiting for my voice first, nobody said anything for a few seconds so I hung up and add it to my blocked call list.
- LeslieThis number called just now, they hung up after 3 rings, my machine doesn't pickup until the 4th ring. I called the number back and indeed it's some market research number. Now blocked!
