Interesting, but very poor phishing email.... not the usual automatic renewal of some software subscription.  This one was supposedly from PayPal telling me that my order for a rifle >from them< was just received.  The sender's email address is naveedmalikawan610@gmail.com, not one I would think is used by PayPal.  The sender's name appears as my email, again, not PayPal.  The wording of the email: "Thank you for your purchase from PayPal. We have successfully received your order and are preparing it for processing."  "From PayPal", not "Using PayPal".  AFAIK, PayPal is not in the personal firearm industry.

Said rifle is described as a "SIG Sauer (U.S. operations, NH) Model 2020 Waypoint Rifle".  Problem is, looking up that gun says that SIG does not make it, but Springfield Armory does.  There's a section of the email that is titled "Delivery Details" and contains the address of 3505 Albee Drive Louisville KY 40213.  Looking with Google Maps, that address does not exist in Louisville.  It does exist for Nashville and Hermitage, TN and Braintree, MA.

So much is wrong with this email that I would be genuinely shocked if somebody did call the phone numbers to complain about this phony purchase.  Undoubtedly, these scammers will try to get the person's PayPal account details either by flat out asking for it, or tricking the person to go to a web site that they provide, or having them download some program that will "assist" in the process of stopping the sale.

As always, the use of the two phone numbers 779-513-2260 and  802-423-1090 is being reported here, along with a copy of the email sent to reportphishing@apwg.org and phishing@paypal.com.
