A lady called two cell phone numbers in my household in one day. first my, and then my wife's cell. Each time she was told that the phone number she is dialing is listed in the National Do not Call list. She was stubborn and did not want to listen. Instead she told me they "the foundation just kicked in". When will they learn, heh!? Hanged up.

Got a call from 18077881390 with this exact same Modus Operandi. 'Finally a friendly voice, feels like I have been talking to answering machines all day'. Persistently kept asking for money to conduct liver disease for children, but could not direct me to a website or send me any further info via email. There is no definite proof that I have read here that screams "SCAM!" but definitely seems sketchy.

Same happened to me 2. I received a phone call saying they r canadian liver foundation, when I refused to take the call for 2 days, a new # called, again it was from Canadian liver foundation. The new # is 587-760-0912.

Called last week on Wednesday and Thursday, and again this morning. I haven't answered the call, as I'm not expecting any phone calls from Edmonton. Very persistent, you'd think after a couple failed attempts they'd get the hint.

I had basically the same experience as everyone else.
It's most likely a scam as she was very pushy and she
ended the conversation when I asked for the website.

First I missed call I blocked it then they call with this number+7 (806) 655-17-1 I locked too says Russia they just add numbers become longstand but if you look its same number

Calling for last 4 days , for 3 times using the number, for once used international # romania

Scam!  As soon as I mentioned that I'm sorry, I don't have the cash to be donating today, they HUNG UP!  No closure, no good bye, no understanding.  Just gonzo.  You know that's a hard scam, and as soon as they can't squeeze any money out of you, they just abort and kill the conversation.

17806655171 is from "professional" telemarketers working for a company hired by the Canadian Liver Foundation. They do not work for this charity and while the call is legit, the telemarketing company takes a huge cut of the money collected. Usually,in the 70% range. So, if you want to help this or any other charity, I suggest you contact the charity directly. Also, the telemarketers call from a computerized dialer. Basically, it's a computer program that calls every variation of a specific phone number ptefex, like mine 587.
Personally, I don't answer calls from numbers I don't recognize. It's easy enough to call back if I think it's from someone I know or a company I deal with. If you're not sure who is calling and really don't want to speak to anyone who might be after your cash, wait till after 9:00 pm local time and you'll get a recording. I then put a block on the number and I'm free from that caller.
By the way, the company that employees these professional telemarketers used operate under the name of GWE or Great West Entertainment but I understand they have since changed their name. Again, if you want to help any specific charity, call them directly. Good luck.

After some digging I have discovered that the telemarketing  company is now called iMarketing Group Inc.and their phone number in Calgary is (403) 531-6157. Feel free to call them and let them know your opinion of their operation.

Lady forcing to make donation over phone for Liver research foundation  I asked to send link via email.She keeps persisting and repeating same thing and forcing too much giving top donation amount $160 for 2 hr  $80 for one hr treatment. I really got irritated and hung up when I felt she is not ok to send info via email.

A lady called saying that she's been hearing voice mails all day. Asks if you want to donate to the Canadian liver foundation. Even if you say you have no money, she keeps pushing the price lower. Says you can send a check or through emails, or through the phone. Hang up. NEVER share credit card details over the phone, REAl businesses never ask you to do that. They kept calling me for a whole MONTH and really really or late at night until I figured out how to block them.

Known scammer. Exactly the same script as when I was called a month ago. Blocked their number. We should alert the actual Liver Foundation that it is being impersonated by scammers.

Got a call. They don't say anything until u say hello first. Girl seemed to be in rush but she kept asking for donation for liver foundation. I told her that I am not interested but she kept asking for 35-40 dollars for donation.

Fraud obviously！

I got the exact same thing you did she asked me 3 times and on the 3rd time she said can I ask you a question and right before she could ask I told her that I had cancer which I did and she shut right the hell up and said have a good day and hung up

I had this call this morning asking for donation. I felt bad because the lady was too pushy about money, so I had to hung up. But after read all the post I blocked the number immediately. Thank you everyone !!
