Received a call today from this number as reported by caller ID.  He claimed to be Microsoft Service stating my PC had a virus and offered free service to identify and fix it.

Got a call from 786-224-0099.  A man with a strong Indian accent said that he is calling about my Windows computer.  I said, "I don't have a Windows computer."  Then he said, "Do you have a Mac?"  Then I said, "I think you have the wrong number."  He then hung up on me.

Got a call from this number wanted me claimed to be Microsoft Service stating my PC had a virus that was sending numerous messages to their server.  Wanted me to execute a command on my computer.  He began to tell me the command eve I hung up before  he finished.  I called Microsoft support and they informed me that they do not call customers unless they are returning a call.

some fellow called David Allen, according to LinkedIn, who's with "US Mobile Business Directory," supposedly in Illinois, though the above number shows as being from Florida on caller ID.

Received a call from a man with an indian accent claiming that he was from Windows and that I had downloaded a virus. I told him I was at work and woudl have to call him back. he got very impatient, but gave me his number and said to ask for "John Brown" when I called back. Obviously, I will not be calling him back. This is definitely a scam.

Leaves no message.  

Received a call from "Jay" with strong Indian Accent.  He calls every day around 9:40am.  Caller id says it is from Florida.  Always says that my windows computer has a virus.  We have asked to speak to a supervisor.  He always says that the supervisor is not there.  When we push and ask for when the supervisor is there we are hung up on.  Every day without fail.  We have asked to be removed from his list and he says he can not because we are sending data to his server.  This guy is very rude and nasty when he talks to my kids as well.  I just want him to stop calling.  Put a complaint on the do not call list hoping that they can do something.  When I ask for his address, he tells me that he is on Market Street in San Francisco but he is unable to give out any further details. (funny when the caller id is in Fl)

Just googled this number and saw this site. I searched the number while talking to a man with an accent (Indian?). I asked what company was calling  and he said Windows. I said, "Windows? I don't think so. What's your phone number?" He then paused like he was looking it up and said I could call him back at this number. Of course I wasn't going to call. The caller ID said 915-282-2645 and says Texas even though he said he was in Florida. I just said I'm not interested and hung up. It's so annoying!!

Indian dialect idiot saying he could fix my computer problems.  I told him where to stick his scam and he immediately hung.  I only answer these stupid calls because I am tired of the sobs.

Keeps calling often not responding when I answer phone - asked a couple of days ago to be removed from list. Back at it today. VERY strong east Indian accent. I told him I was reporting him to attorney general's office in this state (WA) - he said "oh my God" as I was hanging up.

Got a call from a scammer, claiming to be from Microsoft. He was not.

I received a call from a man calling from India or Pakistan who said he worked for Windows. He said that I had a Virus that was showing up at the company. I had heard about this scam on the news so I informed the man that I'd need to call the company for verification. He immediately hung up on me. BEWARE!!!!

I just got the same a call.  He wants to help my computer run faster.  I told him I would call him back.  He gave me the 786-224-0099.  He wanted me to open up a Run dialogue box and enter "eventvwr" .

update from a moment ago:  My phone log says the incoming call came from 621-336-0000  and "Name Unavailable".

Caller with heavy Indian accent, When prompted he gave name as David Ohlsen and call back number of 786 224 0099.
Stated my computer had virus. Definitely a scam. I terminated the call immidiately

Just got a call from Victor at this same Microsoft Windows number 786-224-0099.  He, too, had a strong Indian accent.  It sounded like a call center in the background.  He said he wanted to fixt my computer and I told him I dont have any problems with my computer.  He said my computer is sending messages to Microsoft and he wanted to help me get rid of the virus.  He gave me what appeared to be a serial number of my Microsoft account.  It was 32 digits long.  I told him I couldnt now but I would call him back.  And here I am checking the number.  A Scam.

Received two consecutive calls from a person claiming to be David Wilson, very much sounding like a female. Same gist, wanting me to get on my computer and confirm security ID. Very persistent even after I called his bluff subsequent to researching the number he gave me and reading the above. He had the nerve to call me back and claim that he was going to block me from his server.

Claimed to be from Microsoft Windows Technical Center - the usual claim that they are receiving reports about malware and spyware on my computer.
