Scamming you for money, saying for local PD.  Told them I was local PD and they hung up.  Miami scammers.

Sunday morning.  Gads!  Do they ever go away?

Repeated calls from Officer Malone of the Cape Coral Police Department raising money for the Cape Coral Police Department Fraternal Order of the Police. Calling from Perrine, Florida and we live in Cape Coral. Being a retired Florida law enforcement officer, when I began to question him about the legalities of using his sworn status to raise money and the violation of Florida Statutes.... he called me an SOB and hung up.

The only time (as you would know) you see Police & Firemen(women) raising money it's on the side of the road with boots & buckets. Usually for Children's hospitals. Phone you? No.

Caller ID says Miami.  They call every morning around 9:30.  I usually don't answer, but today I picked up, said nothing, and on the other end a man kept repeating my name, then hello, hello.   I hung up.

They call constantly every morning and later in the day.  Do not know this number and have never answered phone and they never leave message.

This is a scam.  A man identified his name and that he was asking for donations for Fraternal Order of Police.  When I told him I wouldn't donate over the phone he asked if he could send me a packet.  I told him no again and identified myself as ex-law enforcement telling him that the FOP wouldn't solicit like he is.  He paused, then asked me if he can send the packet anyway.  In the background of the call, I heard someone say Midland credit management.  This was a collection agency trying to get my address.  I know they are not looking for me to pay a past debt as I don't have any.  I found the caller pushy.  I hung up on him.  If he continues to call me again I can and will report him to a law firm that prosecutes.  It would be a win win for me as they have to pay me money when they violate laws.  This dude is pretending to be the police and he is NOT.

Repeated calls from this number. Having seen the comments on this site, and also out of habit, have not answered, but the calls keep coming. Caller ID just says "Florida Call". We no longer answer ANY unidentified calls: I figure, if it's important, whoever will leave a message, or call back. So far I have not regretted that decision!
