Received a call, from this number, on 10/24/15, at 2:50PM, EDT, for the first time.  An internet search reveals the fact that it belongs to or used to belong to a company called, D2P Remodeling.  The name, Nick Kayghobadi, was also included.  They are a company located in Miami, FL and, indeed that was what came up on CID.  I'm thousands of miles, from there, so it's either a scam or a wrong number.

Call @ 9:22AM EDST 10/26/15  I do not answer calls from unknown numbers.  No message left.  I am on all the DNC lists.

Second call, today.

Received 3 calls from this number so far today 9:18am, 9:57 am and 10:14 am.  No one talks or answers. This has to be a scam!

2nd call today now blocked

Caller id Miami Fl   2 weeks ago received call from similar number (786) 358 5146.  Since most calls I receive from numbers I don't recognize are scams, I just push the green then red buttons on phone without actually answering.  Then I don't get the annoying beep from my answering machine.

Called around 5 PM Fri 10/30. Don't pick suspicious calls. No message left.

This number called Oct 31, 10.41am and Nov 2, 8:47am. I didn't answer and they didn't leave mssg. Must be a spam caller.

Received several calls the last few days from 786-358-5134. When I finally picked up, it was the Marco Rubio campaign.

No, it's not the Rubio Campaign. Campaigns are tightly regulated and the FEC would fine any spoofing culprits severely. Campaigns have nothing to gain by CID spoofing and lots to loose, including pissing off potential supporters. This is a spoofed number belonging to D2P Remodeling in Miami. Don't know if thy're currently in business or recently closed, but either way the caller is spoofing the number. This tactic is usually used by collection agencies trying to locate you and match your number with an address. The debt they're desperate to intimidate you into 'settling' is usually way past the statute of limitations and their only hope is to initiate contact to discuss payment so they can then restart the limitations clock.

People who are out to cause damage to political candidates will purposely call people with spoofed caller ID information of the candidate they are doing "dirty tricks" to.

That's true, but except for Nancy nobody seems to have a clue who it is. If it was a dirty tricks campaign they would identify themselves (fraudulently of course) by either using a spoofed CID name of the candidate or leaving a snarky 'candidate' message. Helen's take rings true to me.

Has called multiple times and despite my blocking they keep trying..It just shows the number was blocked now after ringing once.  Technology has to get better at tracing, not just getting better at hiding!

Caller ID says "UNASSIGNED" and if I call the number back it is an automated robotic voice say "to add your number to our Do Not Call List, Press 1".  This repeats about 5 times before it hangs up.  I've never actually answered the phone calls to see who they claim to be.

Two months ago this caller had an ID of "Miami."  Now they have changed their phone number from 1-786-358-5134 (caller ID Miami) to 11-786-358-5134 (caller ID Out of Area). May be dirty tricks or may be campaign looking for money. Either way, I suggest turning off your telephone ringer and have your system forward KNOWN numbers to your cell phone until after the election next Novemer. The scamming and campaigning and soliciting is just getting worse and worse.  Regards,

I remember back in the day when a telephone scam was simply accepting a call ("Will you accept a call from______regarding your____?") or calling the said telephone scam number back.

The scam was the outrageous cost of the call on your phone bill.
