Just called my house asking for my husband and wouldn't talk to me wouldn't say who it was either!!!

I noticed their number on my caller ID. It just said FLPAL and 786 363 8110. I tried to call back out of curiousity & it got a message saying I couldn't complete the call. So I typed the words FLPAL online out of curiousity to see who they are. And I found this site. :) Wish there was a way to report them.

My husband answered the phone. The man asked for me by name. My husband asked who was calling and he said Robert Lee. My husband asked where he was calling from and he said "I don't want to ruin the surprise for her." We hung up on him, googled the number, and found this website.

This number just called my land line. I didn't pick up. Person left no message. Googled the number, but free info. only said it was unpublished.

They called my home three days in a row. The first time it was a man and he asked for my husband, when I said that he was not home he hung up on me. The second time a woman called and before I told her that my husband was not home I asked who was speaking and she said the "Florida Police Athletic League". When I told her that he was not home she immediatley hung up. The third time no one answered and they did not leave a message. So far no one has called today. The first time they called I looked the number up online and found that the number is a Miami landline. Then I found this site. Thanks everyone:)

I got a call tonight from PayPal asking for donation with credit card. He said he was John Quinn. 786-379-4764 PayPal

It's a scam!!!! Do not donate!!! Do not even answer the phone... If you do answer, tell them "The homeowners are away on a world cruise for one year and I am watching their house. .. Usually shuts them up,

got a call from 7862794764 on 10/7/09 at 7:50p and when I answered they hung up

They call about 2-3 times a day asking for my wife, when I answer and ask if I can take a message they say it is okay, and hang up on me.  I know that this company has been reported to the BBB as bogus, when they bill your credit card it doesn't show up as what it should be, from what my cousin is telling me, as he did massive research into this company.

If it is really the State of Florida Police, they should be calling from their main offices in either Tallahassee, or Tampa.

*Update*

Called the number back, got an answering machine to a Craig and two other names I didn't catch, I think this is someone who is sending bogus Caller ID info on their calls, it is something scam artists are able to do now with a lot of this new technology.

I did leave a message with that answering machine asking them to stop calling me, and notifying them that I have been registered at donotcall.gov for a while now, and that future calls will result in legal action.

I  got one of these calls from a different number, the caller ID came up as FLPAL. It disconnected when I answered. They called a few days ago, same think happened. This call came from 786-279-4764

Same thing here but a different # FLPAL 786 279-4764 on the caller ID. just called my office and said its regarding a civil matter and wants to speak to the owner. If didn't feel right called it back no answer and I google it and found this website thank you for your post.

I got call from FLPAL 786-279-4764, When ever I answer the phone no reply just hang up and no message,

just received a cal from FLPAL 1-786-279-4764. the name and number came up on caller ID.  The man said his name was Alan. Would not tell me why he was calling.I gave him no information and did not identify myself. He hung up promptly.

Report them. One of them called today- and couldn't take 'No' for an answer.  The first sign their scammers.  If they don't have a legit website or can't send you something in the mail- DON"T GIVE THEM ANYTHING - EVER!!!
