- a girlthe number in question called my cell at 10:31PM!!!!! yes PM
I dont have any unpaid bills or even own a credit card. - Tamara replies to Furious| 21 repliesALLIED INTERSTATE -- no legit company uses this collection agency. They normally have the wrong number. They have an 800 number - they pay for a call to their 800 number -- that never answers. I call the number after hours and then put the telephone in my silverware drawer overnight. They pay for the call!!! -- costing THEM money. This is my attempt at reverse harassment -- even though they don't get it. People that don't owe them money are smarter than they. So far, I'm at an hour on their 800 number. When I wake up I hope to hear their recording, which has gone on for hours. Even if someone owed them $100, they would probably spend $5 to $10 on my phone call. Not smart business. Let's put them out of business. Call every number they own.
- sherryI received the same debt company and didn't answer it. I returned the call and a guy from India answered the call. He ask for some person and then I said this is my cell and please do not call it again. We will see if they do it again.
- sjcalled me at after 8:30 pm when I told them that the person they wanted wasn't me they started to harrasse me. Couldn't understand what they were saying. Then they called my # back 3 more times.

- gvI've been getting a call from them every morning at 8 am this week. I don't answer, just let them leave a message. They say they are an independent debt collector. Funny thing is, I don't have any unpaind debts. I am also trying to block this number.
- bearsis replies to hawkeyeCalled this evening at 8:55pm EDT. I didn't answer, they didn't leave a message. Caller ID just says toll free call.
- Bob replies to Linda| 9 repliesHarassment? How about the original creditor's unsuccessfully attempting to get the money first hand that you "took" without giving back. Money owed is money owed, period. Whoever you owe it to is pointless to scoff over, pay what you owe and don't complain when someone is doing there job that they don't enjoy because of people like you who are dead beats and can't pay your bills. At least we know he can, he's got a job and money...things of which you evidently don't, by the admittance of collections calls. Boo-hoo-now pay your bill. You are half the reason the economy has slipped.
- collectors-r-criminals replies to BobAnother moronic post from some collector clown making the rounds on 800notes between stints in the boiler room.
You harass people who may not even have any debt, and you don't care. Harassment can be a CRIMINAL matter, especially when you violate the FDCPA, but debt (where it is legitimate) is a CIVIL matter.
No clue about the law, so yes clearly you are a collector. Thanks for letting us know this site is working, these crooks always seem to end up here when the scam isn't working over the phone! - KI get calls from this number every day, at random times, just got one now, whenever I pick up, it just hangs up, no one is ever there on the other line. I don't know who they are or what they want, since no one's ever on the other end of the line.
- Hates these callsI have had the same problem so I have started answering and telling them that if they call again I will press telephone harrassment charges with my State Attorney General's office. It helps!

- ELIZABETHThey call every day acting they are a collection office.

- John666It's just a scam to get your social security number. Just hang up the phone and don't bother arguing with them. Who knows where they actually work, or if they are even employed -- they may even be calling from prison.
- Caller: He's probably calling from prison.
- falconp51I just received a call on MY CELL PHONE! The best of my knowledge what I am about to stated is accurate and truthful. No offense is implied at anytime. If memeory serves me correctly, soliciting or collection agency calling a cell is a no no? However, let set something straight with regards to "Bob" post dated 08-10-2009, which I have included herein.
"Harassment? How about the original creditor's unsuccessfully attempting to get the money first hand that you "took" without giving back. Money owed is money owed, period. OK, BOB just so you know, most people are in debt and would gladly pay what they really owe (principle), not all the added on and trumped up fees, fees, fees, and more fees, that shady and low down dirty credit card corp./banks have imposed upon the American citizen. It has been daylight robbery for nearly 20 years and these lending institutions have been getting away with it thanks to our own Goverment! Now, there is also statue of limitations as to how long a debt can be collected, which varies from state to state. In addition, when a debt it given to a collection agency, that agency bought the debt for either pennies or nickles on the dollar! Why? Because the original grantor knows they will not see the full return, however they did get something by selling the debt. They also have insurance that kicks in and pays out the loss to the grantor, so tell me if they lost out?
When the debt collection agency gets it, they know there is a slim to none chance to get anything. They will lie and do underhanded tactics (fear tactics) to convince the debtor to pay or else. The debtor will receive mail that proports to be from an attorney, majority of the time it is bogus. Again, they are bottom feeders hopeing that fear will previal. So, a debtor pays back all the money, including the added fees and crap, the collector will make a nice tidy profit. Do you think they share that profit with the guy making the calls? Probably not and in most likely cases they are paid a flat hourly rate.
As for BOB's blame placed upon the debtor for the economic downfall of our country, you are sorely mistaken! It is our leaders in Washington, the banks, and the lending industry that have failed all of us! I am not saying that Americans have not lived above their means, which some have, it is the system that has failed and greed of individuals and corporations that are mostely to blame for our economic disaster! All of what has happened could have and should have been avoided all together. THERE IS NO EXCUSE! Individuals such as Madoff should have been tried for treason instead of criminal felonly charges. Because what they have accomplished placed our national security in peril! Am I making any sense here? Am I waking up and alerting anyone to more serious problem then just laying blame and point fingers?- Caller: No text was given
- zoesmamaThe calls come all day long everyday even on the weekends for about 2 months. I pick up the phone and no one is on the other end it just clicks and then nothing. We are getting very aggravated with these calls. Just glad it isn't my cell phone. How can we make them stop calling this number. If it is a collection agency its not for me because I don't owe anyone anything my bills are paid on time each and every month.

- Richard Jones replies to BobBoB, you are one of the uneducated and uninformed. These calls are being made to folks who do not owe anything - it is harassment. If you owe, you should pay; if not, you should not be bothered. To say that our economy is in trouble simply because of too many debtors is as laughable as it is misinformed. The Bush Government spent over a trillion dollars in Iraq for nothing and doubled the National debt. Unfortunately, the Obama Government is not any better. The big reason for the terrible economy is our own fault for not throwing out the spenders in Government. Like I said earlier, you are just part of the uneducated and uninformed whose apathy and lack of resolve has caused the problem. Have a nice day
- crimson30I got a call from some woman with a thick Indian accent... she sounded lost, confused and stupid.
- CarolThis number is Allied Interstate. They are a collection agency. They have repeatedly called my house looking for someone I have never heard of. The person doesn't even have the same last name as us. I can only assume this person had our phone number many years ago (I have had this phone number for over 20 years now). I have asked them repeatedly to remove my number. They keep calling.
