- mb replies to JamesSo be sure you have facts straight please. First, you don't get three years of forbearance to postpone your loans, 3-6 months only of grace period after leaving school and not everyone in repayment qualifies for forbearance. Just because you ask for forbearance doesn't mean you will get it. Second, Just because some one takes out students loans doesn't mean they are TRYING to a burden to the tax payers. Third, as you pointed out, the government will get their money, even if the person tries not to pay. Fourth, loans get sold and some lenders don't communicate well with borrowers and payments get missed. That doesn't mean non-payment is intentional or that some is TRYING to not pay. Most lenders will work with the borrowers. Please don't ever gloat or go on a tirade over some else mistakes or misfortune. You never know when you could end up in a similar situation.
- JamesNever had a Student Loan. They keep calling my business numbers. My children had no Student Loans. I don't belive in not working to make enough money to go to school and find that the State of Texas allowing this company to operate to be a violation to my privacy rights. They also cost me money by taking my time to try and respond to MY CUSTOMERS by tying my phones up 5 and 6 times a day. Get a Life.

- MF replies to JamesThese ppl are calling about a bill that is NOT mine to pay!!! So even with MY bills PAID my # has been given out by a "trusted family member" and these ppl call me requesting $ from someone that has nothing to do with this debt. BTW, why are YOU researching this phone number and then barking orders at others to pay their bills? You've got TOO MUCH TIME on your hands. C'mon now...:)
- Marie replies to Broke| 1 replyI had a loan for $27,000 & paid them over $80,000, I produced checks in court proving that they collected over $12,000 without crediting payment. They also lied in court, saying that I borrowed $41,000. Both sides produced promissory notes totaling $27,000 & they couldn't tell the judge where the other $14,000 came from. They called and harassed my family & friends multiple times per day (I didn't have a phone) for months on end, even though told not to do so. They seemingly paid off the judge, as he refused to punish them for violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, but the judge also did not order me to pay them a dime. They stressed me out so bad that I had to start seeing a psychiatrist who said stress caused my problem to act up so I couldn't work...then they garnished my Social Security benefits without notice, lying to Social Security about who they were. These people are thieves to say the least and it would be best for the country if they were to go out of business!
- Ralph replies to MarieThey garnished your social security?????
- JohnIm in the 10th grade and they are calling my cellphone about my student loans what?
- sakarI was unable to pick up phone, calld back to find out. I asked the rep , why did you call my house, they do not have my phone number ,, asked my homephone number, I askea question , cannot see on your lcd screen who is calling? Answer was no, Proviced my home phone number, denied to provide my ss number. Provided my first name and phone number. Rep insisted me to provide my last name. I clearly told her that if the call is about that name I am the guy, talked to me what is the call is about. She denied to talk and I denied to provide and told very clearly if it is in about that fisrt name : do no call and she hang on me.
In past some body left a message on my answering machine, could not put on U-tube. It was hillarious. Capatin Cook , wanted to talk about my debt and threatned that he can put me on jail.- Caller: Debt collection

- NightRaider replies to PersonYou gave some unknown telemarketer your name and numbers? What, like driver's license number or social security number? Best hope your bank account isn't emptied out tonight.
- NightRaider replies to BrokeI don't care if it's Jesus Christ that called from Guarantee. They have no business running up my cell phone bill calling on the chance I might know a friend of a friend who had a loan with them.
- NightRaider replies to JamesNone of your punishing and judgmental banter amounts to a bucket full of warm spit. I don't owe bad debts or overdue payments or student loans unpaid and considering that, I don't need some jerk calling me on my cell phone and running up my tab to harass me. They are either crooks seeing how much they fling will stick to the wall or their record keeping is so bad they need to go back to schools themselves and learn how to keep names and places straight.
- Tai Nguyenthey called me wanting to talking about a defaulted student loan. it was a case of mistaken identity and i was able to get it squared away. honest mistake.

- Big Tow WreckerI am glad for this Web site. I am going to kill the person who keeps calling my number. Literally. They are going to be beaten to death ... slowly ... over a period of a few days for the hell they put me through. I work odd hours so these vultures call in the middle of my night, putting my life on the line since I drive everywhere at night. I can't wait to get my hands on one of these vermin.

It sounds like they are saying "Charles and Company". I've looked this up online and all I find named this is a music band or a british tea shop, and neither of them make these kinds of phone calls.- Call type: Scam suspicion
- JmaddI keep getting calls. I haven’t had a student loan in over 20 years. Mine were paid off in full. So the person that said don’t get loans if you don’t want to pay them and then collection calls, I paid mine. What’s your answer now. Maybe they should update their database.
