Believe this to be some sort of a SCAM. <DELETE> message.

Has anyone called US Bank? I've been paying off a card for a number of years, so it might be legit, but then again I get scam/spam like this all the time..

I just got the same message now. However, my USBank cards were closed last Friday due to fraudulent activity offshore. There is no account anymore. There would be no reason to pay into that account. It is closed, blocked. The name RCV sounds familiar, but I can’t remember from where.

I just received a text message regarding payment to my USBank account. But both my cards were closed and the accounts were closed last week. I do not know who our CV is, they claim to be the ones who want to pay the card. The scammer wanted to pay my card and then have me pay by bitcoin, which I have no experience doing. The message says to call 800.236.3998

I don't advise answering calls from the number 800-236-3998. When I called my bank, they assured me that my account was fine, and they have no record of sending me anything. It is always best to contact the number on your card to verify. Do not respond to any numbers sent to you by email or phone. Instead, go directly to the official website or use the number on your card.

Thanks to everyone posting verifying the text from this number is a scam. Don’t open it. Just block number.
