800-247-3508

Yep - got a call from "1-253-342-9454" saying they were from "Bank of America Merchant Services".   It sounded like a call center in the background.   I asked for a call back number - she gave me "800-247-3508 ext 1027".

Scammers.  Call came in as 1-847-504-0105 with a call back to 1-800-247-3508.  Call in number from a company called Tele Business USA.  Call back number claimed it was Bank of America Merchant Services.

If they give you a false number when they dial you and then give you a phony company and different call back number you can figure the rest out!!

Called the business line here in the office, and interrupted another legitimate business call.  So, already, these people were on my turd list.  Ended the legitimate call and got back to the incoming crap call, guy identified himself as "Bill Booker" asking if he could speak to the person who makes decisions about taking credit cards.  I guess he was stunned when I told him, "No."  So he continues and asks why, and I told him we don't take cards.  Not giving up, he then asks if we'd like to take cards, also told him no.  Persistent little cretin.  

Finally I asked if he was homeless.  Surprised, he said no.  Told him he would be if I were to find out who he really is and then sue him under the TCPA.  Unsurprisingly, he hung up.

Claimed he was with Bank of America.  I have about twenty different personal, business, and client accounts with B of A so the misrepresentation really bothers me more than usual in this case.  Booker is in no way connected to B of A.      

Listen up telemarketers.  All of you - each and every one of you - are the lowest form of pond scum that life has to offer.  And if you're a young punk claiming you are trying to make a living, then get an honest job.  Begging for money over the phone pays LESS than the money you get begging for it on a freeway off ramp, which is where you really belong.  

 

Yes, it appears to Bank of America Merchant Services. We cancelled a few weeks ago and they were calling to check why.

Another call from 800-247-3508.  Robocall + telemarketer = JERKS!!!

Complete SCAM. But I am not sure what their angle is. I was stupid enough to talk to them, them claiming to be from Bank of America. What got me is: BofA is running a legitimate campaign that if they cannot beat your current merchant rate they would give you $500. I thought, great, I have an awesome rate, they won't be able to beat it unless they want to lose money and I get $500. The only information I gave them was my E-mail address and who my current merchant account was with. I am not sure what they can do with the 2 pieces of information since my E-mail account is not associated with my merchant account.
In either case they supposedly set up a meeting at a local BofA, just went there, they never heard of the person I was to meet with.

THEY CALLED AND DIDNT LEAVE A MESSAGE!!

They called saying they were Bank of America and would like to demo their new credit card terminal.  They pretended to have information on our B of A business account.  Stating they need to check our account.  They gave another business name when they returned to the call. We do not have this business account with B of A.  They are selling credit cards services.  I ask if they were a third party provider.  She then wanted to record the appointment.  They are recording the conversation so they can appear to be on compliance.  There practices are deceptive!  If you call the number an auto attendant says you have reached, B of A Merchant Services.

I work for a public school counseling office and was surprised to get a call asking who handles our credit card service.  I told them they called a private number and to never call me back.  They did mentioned they were with Bank of America.  I cut the call short because I will never do business with B of A.  A scam all right.

Despite telling them to put us on their internal do not call list, they still continue to call. Why would anybody do business with a company that breaks the law with no regard?

Called my office around 12:30PM interrupted legitate calls from actual customers, asking to speak to person in charge of the credit card processing devices, clearly a person selling something *click*

Got a call from 800-247-3508, they claim to be calling on behalf of B of A merchant services. I told them I was busy at the moment but asked what I could do for them "my mistake". They tried to set up an appointment on behalf of B of A since they will have a representative in my area but needed to verify some information (RED FLAG NUMBER 1). I told them sorry I could not continue the call since I had a customer in front of me and asked for a call back number (which they provided along with an extension).

I called the number they provided back from a different number just to see if this was legitimately B of A and all I got was a machine saying you have reached B of A please enter the extension of the person or leave a message (RED FLAG NUMBER 2).

I then called the real B of A and asked about this merchant acting on their behalf and guess what. TOTAL SCAM, please beware give NO information out.

I got the same BS call.
