- BMac| 3 repliesThis is NOT a scam! This really is Banc of America. It's a part of their credit division with mastercard. If they call you, more than likely they are looking to reduce your line of credit on your credit card. I suggest that if you get a call from this number, you should call banc of america immediately. They will waste no time in reducing your line of credit on your card if they do not hear from you within 48 hours.
- bigee small replies to BMac| 1 replyIf this is bank of america why is this number not showing up in any BAC contact number. Why dont they have it listed on the website. This is a third party debt collector of cards charged-off by bac.
- avu3I received a voice message who said they were from a "muble" management (unintelligible company name on the voice mail), and that they managed my credit card. They said they had talked to another family member and they urgently needed to talk to me.
I called back and the number simply said "the office is closed, please try again".
I called BofA at the number on my credit card. The woman I spoke with said they would never have left such a vague message. She checked both my bofa accounts and both are fine. She said this was a phishing message. I asked her to please note on my account I had called in case there was a problem she could not see. - cnsmrTHAT NUMBER IS A SCAM COMPANY. I called Bank of America and they do not work with Bank of America or have any relation to them. This is a SCAM COMPANY trying to get your account information and personal inforamtion. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT give them ANY personal information.

- Caller: Card Services
- none replies to TomIt's not a scammer, it is BofA credit department calling to reduce your credit line or something similar. Thanks for putting those TARP funds to good use BofA!
- Scammer!Got a message stating that the number was Bank of America and that they needed to talk to me regarding services they were currently providing me. When I called and without any automated system, a woman responded "Card Services may I have your account number?" When I told her I was uncomfortable giving that information she asked for my Social. I told her I was less comfortable giving that information. I then asked who she worked for and she stated Bank of America. I told her that I was uncomfortable with providing her information and that I would simply call the number on the back of my card. She told me that would only get me "customer service" and not her specific department so I should just give her my information so she could help me. I hung up.
I doubt this is a bill collector, because I've never had any amount charged off at Bank of America- Caller: Bank of America

- formerbofaemployeeThe Caller ID says: 410 229 6957 Cockeysvl MD. The message said: 800 247 7975. It is Bank of America. Myself, former employee. Never late on a pament, always on time. Balance was up to about 45% of limit. They called to ask how much money I was making these days...I made the mistake of telling them (new job, less money). He immediately cut my line of credit to just above what it was currently at.
Thanks? I should've thanked him for killing my Bank of America 401K.
In response, I moved my balance to Chase. Now I've gotten another call from them....I can only imagine what they want to do now.
They mention "FIA Card Services" which is the name on any of their line of credit checks.- Caller: Bank of America
- kaylaI received a voicemail from a woman saying it was Bank of America at this 800 247 7975 number. I called. She asked me for my account number,I didn't have it on me, so I said that I was just calling back - that someone had left a message. She asked for my zip code, I told her, then the last four of my social, then she asked about my recent balance transfer inquiry, and asked what my job was, and how much I made. I answered. She said that's all we needed to know. We hung up. I googled this number because it seemed weird to me, and I called back and it just said "Credit Services" - weird. I called Bank of America right away, through the credit card customer service line, I asked person about this number. Right away, he told me how much I made, and all the questions and answers that had just taken place with the lady at the other number. He said it is there Risk Assestment Team. I was very relieved, especially after been terrified by some of these posts. If you don't want them to know something don't tell them, but it is a Bank of America number.

- DebI was called by this number. It IS Bank Of America. They called to tell me that my credit line was reduced. It WAS. It is irritating because the reduction affects my credit/debt ratio and that in turn affects my credit score in a negative way. I paid them off and will not use their card until they raise my limit back up. Chase did the same thing. So, I paid them off too and left a nice big fat zero balance for them to earn their interest off of. Later on, they raised it from the 3000 they had dropped it to back up to 11,500 where it HAD been..maybe they missed me, huh? (If you pay cards off be sure NOT to close them, this will change your credit/debt ratio and may make your credit score go DOWN)

- JamesI got a very vague message from "card services" with the 8002477975 number. Called it back and the message I receieved said simply, "The office is closed, call back during our buisness hours." I don't know of any professional organization that would leave such shady messages. I think i'm gonna call back and mess with them a little bit, see how they like it.
- Caller: Card Services
- TrustnooneI called the customer service line. She told me the only reason I'd get a call like that was for a fraud alert and that the number I gave her was not the fraud alert number. Her guess was that is was a phishing number.
- Caller: "Bank of America"
- RogerI phoned the customer service number on the back of the card after getting two voice mail messages from the 8002477975. The CS rep said there were Notes in my file about two call attempts by Bof A at the times and days of the calls. So I will call that number back and check them out,. but it sounds like it really is BofA.

- jk| 1 replyI got this call today. First of all they called me on my cell phone. The first question was to validate my address. I was not comfortable with providing that information. I told them nothing has changed on my account. I would not continue conversation and would call the number on the card. He was trying to give me another customer service number...I hung up. I reported number to Bank of America.
My calls to BofA, this number is not legit and they would never ask to validate that information over the phone.- Caller: Credit Services
