I hung up after the voice said, "We've been trying to reach you". . .something about my credit card.

No one on line when picked up, burst of noise after a few seconds, then it hung up.

Recording :" Don't be a statistic, press one now and hold the line to receive your no cost medical alert system, press one now. Press 9 to opt out.

9:36 AM CT. 3/11/21.

My call was about reduced interest on my credit cards.  "Press 2 to opt out" of these calls.   Pressing number 2 does not work.

2nd scam call today about lowering interest rate on credit cards.  These nefarious weasels are now calling at least twice a day, every freaking day.  Always has a heavily accented middle easterner on the line.  Total scam.

They claimed they would lower my credit card rate.  They asked for all 16 digits.  Never give it to them.  When I asked for a website to prove their legitimacy, he gave me a site name.  When he heard me typing he hung up.  The reason quickly became obvious.  It was one of those sites which is not being used and the owner of the domain name is trying to sell.  I'm on the Do Not Call list.  The number belongs to CitiBank, but they're not the ones who called.

Credit card scammers.  Obviously a spoofed number since it showed up again on my caller ID, even after I blocked it.

Another scammer leaving silence on the voicemail.

This number has been calling my landline phone every day.  Fortunately my system rejects automated calls like this, but shows the caller's number.  I'm glad Elsa shed some light on their purpose.Unknown

Recorded debt / interest rate reduction scammer - Member Services.  Here is the text version of the recorded message: "This is an important message regarding your current credit card account. We have made several attempts to reach you. This is your final courtesy call before we are unable to lower your credit card interest rate. Press 1 to speak to the Member Services Department.  Or press 2 and your eligibility to lower your rate will expire."

Let it go to voice mail. Screened call and no one on other end could be heard, .no message left

Calls at 6:00 am in the morning then hangs up after you answer the call.

Robocall credit card rate reduction scammer. It just never ends and is maddening. None of these offers are legitimate and they are all criminally fraudulent. They lie about who they are and they lie about what they can do.
