2 calls, yesterday and today, no one there when answered on our business phone.  No one deals with CIBC here.

this number  (and others) that shows cibc calls 6 times a day or more.  is that not harrassement?  it rings maybe 2 times and stops.  and a message is never left.  if it is that important send snail mail.

They keep calling me and asking for information for CIBC. I told them I will not give out my personal information to anyone.

I have been getting phone calls everyday 7 or 8 times a day. I finally answered and they asked to speak with Shannon. I told them that I don't know a Shannon. Please remove this number of their records for this Shannon person

I am getting these calls and I HAVE NOT had an account with CIBC for 7 years!!!! I also have no debt so why are they calling me??? They have called at 11am, 1pm, 830pm for days and days and days never leaving a messsge.

Got a text to my cell phone yesterday Regarding important messages about my account ending $$$$ and to type “Y” to opt In. I don’t have an account with CIBC. Today there’s a phone call to my cell. Let it go to voicemail. Just music playing then a voice saying my name a couple of times then hung up.

This is NOT actually CIBC calling.  It's  a scam to get your information. I called CIBC from the number on their website (not this number) and they do not recognize the number and told me not provide anything to them.  The CIBC rep also said that if there IS actually an important matter they need to discuss with you a message will be left and they don't  call once every hour for days on end.  What is even better is I don't  have any accounts with CIBC and this is day 4 of them calling non stop.

My phone flagged this as spam, so I didn't answer. Looked up the number and landed here - I have CIBC accounts, but I'm up to date on all payments, confirmed with the bank. I've gotten a lot of spoof and scam calls lately, so I wonder if someone is pretending to be CIBC.

I have a CIBC visa and line of credit but both have a zero balance... why the heck would they be calling me????

They're not.  This is not a CIBC call. Block the call. Do not pick up. Do not call the caller back. Do not give them ( or anyone else) information about your finacial accounts or lines of credit.

SCAM

I have received multiple daily calls from this number.. I do not nor have I ever had an account with CIBC. On Nov 18 I called and a customer service rep. told me this number had a different name attached to it in their files.. but he would remove the number since it was no long valid for their purposes. But starting this week I had no fewer than 3 to 5 calls a day. When I answer there is no one there.. just what sounds like a busy signal. If CIBC insists on doing robo-calls they should have the personal available to answer when someone picks up. I called again today Nov 27 and got someone in Vancouver who just kept repeating herself and could not tell me why these calls started again. When I pressed her for her employee name or number so I would have a reference  and asked again for a reason why I was still getting calls, she hung up on me.  I called back and talked to a personable, informed rep. in Toronto. She assured me the number was removed and had no problem giving me her information so I would be able to contact someone in case these calls continue. So we will see how it goes.
